Me, too. It’s Tex-Mex all the way. And don’t be serving me any black beans or rice. I’m hardcore. If it’s gonna be beans, make them pinto. And if your only salsa is mild, I won’t be coming back.

I do, too.

The article says that Tapatio, Cholula, La Victoria, and El Yucateco are the only ‘acceptable’ hot sauces. I’m wondering what the folks here consider favorites.

I guess I do too. We have one supposedly authentic Mexican place in my neighborhood and I've never had a good meal there. Diana Kennedy's Cuisines of Mexico is supposedly the last word on authentic, updated several years ago.

We have two Mexican (I think they are accurately called Tex-Mex) nearby, one with a mariachi band and one without. Guess which one is better.

We do too.......plain ‘ol Tex-Mex......a little hole-in-the wall place......not one of those big chain restaurants!
