When I was young, we used to see these mosquito spray trucks and run behind them in the mist. Add that to the “how the hell did I live to 50” list!
And as children of 60’s we used to play and dance in the fog of these trucks ad they rolled through neighborhoods.
I once heard HRC say that she used to also play in the fog of mosquito control trucks. But I can’t seem to locate any source material. Does anyone have a link to that comment?

In Dallas, back then they used old B25s flying low and slow to spray the DDT. They were a sight to see.
Mosquito repellant. This had been done for decades until the EPA banned it. The next step, should it be necessary, would be spraying by airplane. Millions of us in the South grew up and have lived to a ripe old age after being sprayed by DDT, which is no longer used. It was better than dying of polio.
The City used helicopters to spray as well back then.
They were stationed near the NYPD helicopter hanger at Floyd Bennett.

They do that here in Jacksonville (FL) on a regular basis (long before any of the Zika stuff). You can actually go on the city website and request the mosquito control, but they will likely send someone to verify the need before sending the truck. They also have “mosquito fish” in the many interconnected storm water overflow ponds that are all over the place.
I wish they sprayed in my neighborhood. The skeeters are horrific here. We are just north of you in the burbs.
Yep. They found that 5,000 Chem Trails planes over the US were not enough, so they decided to spray directly in the neighborhoods.
