I make it a point to carry only credit cards with modest limits. The credit card companies think I’m crazy when they offer a new limit of, say, $17K and I tell them I’d like to keep the $2500 limit which I already have.

$2500 is my average monthly bill, which is paid monthly. We do it for points at Cabela’s sporting stores. I let them bump me up to $10,000 so I could use the card as a down payment on cars. Talk about points building for fun toys!!!
