They used to lambast Bush all the time. They lampoon Republicans and Trump regularly.
They may take some shots at some Democrats sometimes.
But never Obama, and never Hillary.
Heck, Hillary’s email and corruption in the Clinton foundation should be a treasure trove of materials for the joke writers. But they don’t touch it.
The liberals have gone completely insane. They’re so panicked they’re now engaged in total delusional fantasies.
For the most part, ‘stand up comedy’ consists of stupid people making stupid comments about stupidity ... and expecting everyone to laugh at it. Stupidity and ‘liberalism’ are almost inseparable.
There was one guy, but he died at a prematurely young age.
Jay Leno was a bit more ecumenical in his mockery.
But his successor Jimmy Fallow is drudgery to watch. He is completely predictable.
If anything, comedians should be desperate for Trump to win. That way they can pretend they are courageous defenders of free speech speaking Truth to Power and all that. They had Bush to mock and then for some reason they went silent as if there were no President at all for the last 8 years. Trump would give them meaning again.
