They are the coolest birds. I've watched one work for half an hour extracting an apple snail from its shell; they work for their food. They feed almost exclusively on apple snails.

I am fascinated with birds eyes. There is so much variety.

You are right about the eyes. The tufted titmouse is one of my faves for adorable eyes. Plus they’ve got their cute little hats... :)
