Mina Schultz figured shed be OK without health insurance during the months between finishing graduate school and joining the Peace Corps. But a few weeks after graduation, she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a bone cancer more common in children. [ ]
Her father, Jack Schultz, a professor at the University of Missouri, recalls a scramble not only to deal with his daughters health, but also to pay for it. He said it was only after her diagnosis that he learned she could be covered on his policy under a provision of President Barack Obamas health insurance law that allows young adults to be on their parents health plans until they turn 26. [ ]
Schultz, now 30, works in Fairmont, West Virginia, in the health industry. Her job includes helping people enroll for coverage.

Pathetic try, AP.
No kidding....graduate degree to the peace Corp. how special
I am sorry she is sick. My thoughts and prayers that she get better
Yes, it was - coverage until 26 was around long before Obamacare - as were many of its benefits - they just report them as being something new. And even if they weren’t, it doesn’t change the fact the vast majority of it is destructive - all of the little things like this we could keep in exchange for repealing the other 95% of it...but they’d never agree to it - because that isn’t what it was ever about.
Who typed this ...the AP or the Obama administration?
Ben Rhodes told us there is no difference now.
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy.
The plural of “anecdote” is “evidence”. This again. Notice how there has been this hiatus in this appraoch over the past say 1.5 years?
Go ahead, believe the AP.
After she coughs up the $6K deductible ... which is much higher than the deductible I had on my previous insurance that got cancelled the day after Douchecare came into being.
Do college professors get any kind of exemptions? Mina’s dad is one.
When I see a news header even modestly reflecting normal political thought, it invariably comes up "Breitbart", "Newsmax", or, occasionally a foreign newspaper.
Conversely, it seems without exception, liberal puff pieces like this one are traced to AP, CBS, NBC and other so-called "mainstream media" sources.
Proving how uninformed your average Professor can be.
If you want to buy health insurance for your child, there actually is no age limit. The difference is that it costs twice as much now with Obamacare. And the policies provide less coverage.
And here it is, another one.

Now we should expect a nice little raft of anecdotal stories as to the glories of 0bamacare as it spirals down the toilet.
Great, 738 people benefitted, millions lost their HC altogether, anyone who still has reasonable HC is paying gobs more for it, and the success stories are almost all Medicare shove-ins.
When I took a leave of absence and returned to college years ago, I figured I’d be OK without health insurance and I was.
Second Obama suck-up piece today from Al Prazeera.
Second propaganda piece on the board today by AP :)
I thought they just reported news.
Actually, WHO OWNS AP and what exactly is it.
Serious answer please :)
I’m sure the millions of young folks who are now mandated to purchase worthless coverage or face fines are very grateful.
What was once known as catastrophic coverage and sold at a reasonable rate has become standard coverage and is sold at exorbitant rates. Now almost everyone has been blessed with paying more for less coverage and outrageous deductibles. Thanks, Obama!
What a diaper load of Hillary Clinton excrement. Healthy young adults positively hate paying Obomination’s overtly expensive Obama death-care premiums!
Yes, propaganda. Us stupid taxpayers even PAY for this, you all realize. A $2 BILLION provision of the Obamacare law was money for the MEDIA to say nice things about Obamacare!!! YES!! IT IS TRUE!!
