Why put her on a box at all? Why not have a shorter podium as needed? I think the box is an excuse for unsteadiness after standing speaking - if she just stopped talking (on a flat floor) and fell as she turned to leave, there would be no excuse. Put her on a box and now she has an excuse to have someone walk up and help her “down” to floor level.
