Glenn Yarbrough Dies

Friends - I wanted to let you know that Dad died very peacefully last night about 9:30. He was here at home surrounded by people who love him. My dear friend Julie Adams and I were flanking him in bed, my husband Robert was nearby and Gertie was curled up next to the bed. Dad was listening to Baby the Rain Must Fall when his breaths spaced out and he drifted up and out during the last chorus - catching a ride on the Perseids to his next Great Adventure. It was a very good death. More stories to tell about him and some amazing things that happened last night, but I need to get a bit more sleep at the moment. Didn't want it to leak out though, so figured I'd better let y'all know. Much love to all. -Holly

Saw him in my little NorCal podunk town back in
the 80s when absolutely no act would think of playing
here. What a voice! RIP.

OK.I have a song writer/musician cousin who toured with
such diverse acts as Campbell, Tina Turner, and the
Righteous Brothers from the 60s thru 80s.

He was so good. The song he sings in Breaking Bad (from one of his Limelighters albums), “Times are Gettin Hard”, really brought his greatness back to me. I also loved his accompaniment sound track to “The Hobbit” animated movie.
