ELECTORAL MAP: Hillary Clinton is on track for a blowout win in November

An electoral college map released Thursday from the University of Virginia Center for Politics projected Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton winning the November election by a landslide.

UVA altered its map to reflect recent changes in the likely political leanings of certain states, but Clinton still easily came out on top.

Larry Sabato, director of the UVA Center for Politics, explained what made the map different from most polls that reflect the more fickle tendencies of the electorate. The UVA electoral map focused on "the electoral fundamentals and fixed elements of politics that predetermine most votes, especially partisanship, demographics, and strong forces shaping the political landscape."

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump saw a brief bump in the polls after the party's convention in July, but that lead later slipped as Clinton regained ground after the Democrats' convention the following week

Has he been busted as a Dem surrogate?

Dunno who Larry Sabato thought/thinks he's been fooling all this time by feigning impartiality...

Yep -- Sabato's as pathological a liar, unethical, and delusional as any demon-possessed Democrat.

I hope Trump has a ground game. The GOP cannot abandon the big cities. Trump needs to go into the inner cities and convince them that all those years of voting Democrat has brought them nothing but misery. If there ever was a time for a GOP candidate to get a larger than normal share of the black vote, this would be the time.

The other day I was in a small business with the proprietor on site and a TV (tuned to cable news, probably MSNBC or something) blaring. The Khan story was on and there was footage of Mr. Khan ranting about something and the commentator chiming in about how Trump doesn't get it.

The proprietor, staring at the screen, let out a self-satisfied "Hah!"

I wonder how this guy (a black gentleman, let's call him Mr. P) voted in 2008 and 2012. Likely Democrat. Likely for BO.

How will he vote this November?

Will he vote at all?

If he votes, will he vote "D" because it's some sort of subconscious reflex for him?

Are Trump's people interested in reaching people like Mr. P?

I don’t think he made a prediction. But this is the same map that came out Mar 2016, based on polls at the time that had Clinton 10+ points in the lead.

So there is a long way to go, and after the rise of Trump we’re not even close to 100% confident of much of anything. But a general election race that at the start of the cycle looked like a Toss-up just isn’t right now, which is why we have made such dramatic changes to our ratings.

Agree. However, as you point out opinions will change, especially due to the volatility of the present day. An interesting question being: When will the opinions of the electorate gel?

If they had held their noses and showed up for McCain in 2008, we might be talking about President Palin by now.

I don’t see too many here this time around.

Trump is not McAmnesty or Romneycare.

Most of the dead-ender Cruznadians have left.

Read what he said about Trump a year ago:

Friends, this is also true today for The Donald. Or perhaps we should say: If Trump is nominated, then everything we think we know about presidential nominations is wrong.

Propaganda. They are reporting a prediction not reality.

Reality is Trump speaks to arenas of thousands and thousands, day after day - sometimes twice a day. Reality is Clinton struggles to fill school gyms.

The media can’t hide reality but they certainly want to draw your attention to their prediction. It’s a psyop.

Donald Trump on track to win massive blowout in Electoral College...and I dont give a flip what Larry Sabato thinks...105 million people did not VOTE in 2012...a few million of those vote this time. Hillary is TOAST! and these folks wont be going out to vote for Hillary...they are the MONSTER VOTE...count on it....make bank on it...Bet on it...we have fixed bayonets and we are charging up Capitol Hill to install Donald Trump as POTUS and bring an end to the Uniparty as it has become loathesome tired and bloated. Long live the New Republican Party of Main Street and the common man....cue Aaron Copelands “theme for the comon man” here...

If you are a Trump Supporter there is no ‘BUT’...period...your either behind him all the way, or you should be voting for someone else...

We don’t have time for the ‘weak kneed, grab the pearls, fainting couch’ people anymore...

You either vote for Trump and support him all the way to SAVE AMERICA AND HER PEOPLE or:

You vote for Hillary and join the rest of the globalists...there is not another choice!!!
