They are going to try and justify that conscience comes above all else and that somehow breaking a pledge isn’t the same thing as “your word is your bond......” et al.
To decide whether conscience and its definitions (I looked them up) are different than honor or belief and warrant of one’s own word each must examine that in himself.
From my own perspective, then, it seems to Cruz there is no honor in “holding your nose” like MILLIONS of us wanting better than the alternative did with Romney and McCain. Thus, his conscience trumps his bond which says that his ‘word’ isn’t worth shit. It basically is a form of Taqiyya, then.
If that sounds harsh, good. I meant it to be. More than anything I’ve ever said, frankly. The man has no honor.
