I remember when Ted ran against Jimmah Cahtah, who was running for reelection in ‘79.
Ted was in Iowa, at a grain terminal and a dozen farmers were on hand to hear and see him.
Ted looked out on the RR tracks and shouted out, “How’s the service out here on the Wabash?”
This confused the assembled Iowegians since it had been over 100 years since the Wabash had served Iowa...
