How Obama Left Us More Racially Divided Than Ever
The Federalist ^ | 13 Jul, 2016 | John Gibbs

If you think America is a land of oppression instead of a land of freedom, you will sow social discord. That’s President Obama’s legacy.

My mother is a huge fan of Barack Obama. The house is decked out with portraits of the president and Michelle, including some from his inauguration, which she attended. I’ve never seen her this excited for any president, including Bill Clinton.

This type of sentiment is typical of many black Americans, who have a brimming sense of pride over the first black president. This is not so much because they agree with his policies—in fact, many black Americans, while Democrats, identify as conservative—but rather due to a sense of victory that after so many years of slavery and segregation, we’ve finally arrived at the point where the American people are willing to accept a black president.

Yet all is not well. Under President Obama, many black folks think racial division has increased, not decreased. A family friend, who is a Democrat and an Obama supporter, recently curiously remarked, “I’ll be glad when Obama is out of office.” He said this not as an affront to President Obama, but as an acknowledgement that the state of racial affairs seems to have gotten worse under him.

Many whites feel the same way, which is one reason Donald Trump is popular. His outright rejection of political correctness that many Americans are sick of seems like a step in the right direction to his supporters, who hope removing PC will allow for honest dialogue without fear of being called racist amidst an environment that has become increasingly charged and accusatory.

Division is what community organizers do. They stir up perceived grievances and play groups against each other.

BUTTERFLY EFFECT MORE THAN JUST THEORY

In Chaos Theory, the “butterfly effect” is the name given to the sensitive connection between initial conditions in which an insignificant event in one state in non-linear systems, can result in sometimes catastrophic events in the universal state. In other words, in theory, it is possible for a butterfly flapping its wings in Texas to cause a typhoon in the Japanese Sea.

Case in point, in mid-20th Century America, a loose 18-year-old hippie female in a Honolulu college had sex with an older, alcoholic Kenyan man on a student visa, who had a wife and child back in Africa. And this less than significant event started the collapse and dissolution of the United States of America in the 21st Century.

Had never heard of him; knew nothing of him until Oprah, et al. started tooting his horn (lol). A few months later, poof, he was POTUS.

In a parallel universe, John McCain would have won the 2008 election. He would have also won reelection in 2012 too. I know that he would have done many things that conservatives like me would not have liked at all, but there is one thing that I would know for certain. Race relations during his administration would have been no worse than George W Bush’s. There would not be dead police and BLM’s would have never started.

Similarly, the complexion of the Middle East would have been completely different and much more stable. ISIS would have been unheard of.

This is not a ringing endorsement for John McCain, but there would have been stark contrasts in race relations and Middle East stability compared to the a$$hole that is now in the white house.

McCain sucks. Your parallel universe would have resulted in Democrat victories anytime there was an election and the Democrats getting their way while the GOP got blamed. McCain is the biggest betrayer since Judas Iscariot.
