Each year, ESPN holds something called the ESPYs. Apparently, the event is a sort Academy Awards for sports. The idea seems ridiculous. Part of what makes sports wonderful is that its not show business.
According to Larry OConnor at HotAir, and confirmed by other reports Ive seen, the ESPY award broadcast was filled with about as much race-baiting, left-wing politics as the Democrats convention in Philly will have two weeks from now. Moreover, ESPN, the Disney-owned network that created and produces the awards broadcast on their parent network ABC, went out of their way to feature and celebrate the divisive Black Lives Matter grandstanding.

Not allowed on in my house. Wife can sneak it on her tablet.
I was so done with ESPN a long time ago. I always thought the espys were stupid anyway. These guys get their awards for winning games, why add an awards show to the award? Just more programming padding. Even their 30 for 30 specials suck.
Screw ESPN .
I would not know an ESPY if my cat horked up a hairball on one...
Who cares what they think?
The blue collar viewers hate this stuff. It just costs ESPN commercial eyeball time, as most of us go away and come back (if we do) for actual sports.
Some “bright” person seems to have inculcated management with the idea that sports viewers are dumb and trapped, so they can be indoctrinated. That’s not what happens, IMHO. It just pisses off the targeted viewers.
ESPN: THE WORLDWIDE LEADER IN BULLS**T
Disagree. Obama holds that title, and I expect will never relinquish it...
Every sport already has it swards- League MVP, Superbowl/World Series/Finals MVP, most improved player, Butkis Award, Heisman, Wooden, etc. ESPYs are the dumbest thing ever.
DISNEY - America’s Ministry of Culture.
I have resigned myself not to watch sports in real time. The DVR with fast forward and mute buttons remove the commercials, inane commentary and Super Bowl halftime shows.
ESPN lost me years ago. I go there sometimes to check the scores of football games. I don’t have cable, so I never watch the channel . Hopefully, they go out of business.
BSPN. Last 3 years they have showcased Michael Sam, Caitlyn Jenner, and BLM. Please dont tell me they have an agenda.
The only 30 for 30 segment I watched was the jimmy Connors and bad Boys segments. I know some people involved in those 2 so they gave me copies months before broadcast.
and everyone knows how left ESPN is with their obsessions over fags and freaks like michael sam and jenner..
Never even a peep on their site about the pic showing the cop getting his throat cut posted by the NFL player
I won’t watch it or pretty much any other sports stuff. If the spousal unit has it in, I am elsewhere.
I’m glad ESPN basically ignores MLB, at least compared to football and basketball. Makes it real easy to hardly ever watch it. Sorry for football and basketball fans, ESPN just can’t get enough of that fruity celebration prancing crap that’s so common to NFL and NBA.

Fortunately, I have a local station for sports talk in the morning. The liberal rantings from Greenberg & Golic are too much to stomach.
Unfortunately, Mark Davis is the only talk show on at that time. His style of saying something twice for effect is like nails on a blackboard.
Some of the 30 for 30 docs are pretty bad. The recent program covering the Duke lacrosse travesty is not one of them. It is outstanding.
And zip through the dancing crap at the end of every touchdown. Can’t stand the announcers. Useless and never shut up.
