Twenty years ago this Sunday, TWA Flight 800, a 747 bound for Paris, exploded off the coast of Long Island, killing all 230 people on board.
In the last few years, researchers have unearthed an astonishing treasure trove of CIA documents, secured a confirmed video of a Long Island missile launch five days before TWA 800’s demise, and persuaded numerous witnesses and whistleblowers from inside the investigation to come forward. I don’t know what exactly happened, but is it not reasonable to rule out our own military? Presumably if it was done by our military, it would have to be a naval surface to air platform, a launch recorded by many different sources,video, electronic, inventory, not to mention the ship would have to be a general quarters. That too would be logged in various media.
How could you possibly get everyone to not talk about this, even if at first the only personnel that would have known would be the missile tracking folks, radar operators and such.

The FBI investigated the TWA800 Crash and said it was not a terrorist attack, it was an explosion caused by a wire in the Center Wing Tank.
This is the same FBI that investigated Hillary Clinton and said they could find no intent to commit a criminal act, even though it is obvious all heck she committed multiple crimes including treason.
The same FBI that said they interviewed Hillary (in one of the largest and probably most important cases in recent history) and didn't even bother to record it.
If they were right about TWA800, are you saying they are right about Hillary , and you trust them in what they are telling us ?
The 'conspiracy loons on the Internet' are the scientists and engineers who investigated the explosion.
It was climate change.
I doubt the FBI was unaware of Clinton's shenanigans while Bill was Governor of Arkansas. They could have used that knowledge to keep him from running for President. They did not.
Also the same FBI that a week later told us Richard Jewell the hero was the mad bomber in the Olympic park.

I would like to believe the experienced professionals of the NTSB, a couple of whom I know personally.
Unfortunately, FOR THE FIRST AND ONLY TIME IN NTSB HISTORY, they were sent back to Washington and not allowed to be involved in the investigation.
That is the smoking gun that can NEVER be extinguished.

Not in the least. Waco was in 1993, and the FBI lied about the non-use of pyrotechnic tear-gas rounds. Not only did they lie that they didn’t use them when they did, they also lied that they found evidence of “illegal silencers” in the Davidian dwelling, which were actually the ‘ferret’ pyrotechnic tear-gas rounds that they lied about not using. The FBI has apparently been dirty for decades. Maybe since they were founded.
Note that they kept up the lie for six years, and that the article is dated 1999.

Yes, the FBI covered up a lot at WACO. I followed that case closely. It was a seminal one in showing how much we are lied to by the old media and the power elite.
And the same FBI that came up with the ‘single bullet theory’ for JFK’s assassination.
Oh, please. Anyone with half a bloody brain knew from the beginning that despite the suppression of evidence at the time it was blatantly obvious that it was downed due to a missile strike.
Even here on FR we could see the coverup underway, and the blatant suppression of evidence and dismissal of witness testimony that was occurring on a daily basis.
And now, with the astounding refusal of the FBI to recommend charges against mrs bill we see that this once-hallowed agency is in fact merely another pawn to be moved about as the powers-that-be see fit.
So who really is surprised that this agency bowed to political pressure back then and allowed the lie to be paraded as fact instead of presenting the truth as they are sworn to do?
Where are the mass resignations from the agents who swore to uphold the law now that it is proven that the Agency lied? I do not recall seeing any news story about it back then concerning any resignations, or even recently.

I watched it as it occurred,
I know what I saw.
Why the Vikingkitties wish to disparage that I do not understand.
It was shot down, likely from a boat and with a shoulder-fired missile.
It likely wasn't a "shoulder-fired missile" -- for two reasons:
1. The maximum altitude for a shoulder-fired missile is 13,000 ft. TW800 was at 14,500 ft when it began to disintegrate.
2. The explosive charge in a shoulder-fired missile is insufficient to cause the destruction of a plane the size of a Boeing 747.
A boat launch is likely. But it would need to be something a little more substantial -- and more lethal -- than a Stinger.
Also MPAD’s have infrared homers...would have gone for one of the 4 engines instead of “center of mass”. Radar guided missile would go for center of mass. Large navy ship needed for radar guided.
Still have max. range problem, and engines have a much larger IR signature. Also, ManPADS have a pretty small warhead, unlikely to cause immediate disintegration.

I always recommend starting by reading that...I see a lot of misinformation on FR TWA-800 threads...things like “there are no wires in a a 747 center fuel tank”.
