Twenty years ago this Sunday, TWA Flight 800, a 747 bound for Paris, exploded off the coast of Long Island, killing all 230 people on board.

In the last few years, researchers have unearthed an astonishing treasure trove of CIA documents, secured a confirmed video of a Long Island missile launch five days before TWA 800’s demise, and persuaded numerous witnesses and whistleblowers from inside the investigation to come forward. Here is what we now know.

On Aug. 22, 1996, just before the Democratic National Convention,
Ms. Gorelick oversaw a critical Justice Department meeting with the FBI.
Immediately after this meeting, as it happened,
all serious inquiry into the fate of TWA 800 came to an end.

I still believe it was a terrorist attack that was hushed up. And the first WTC attack was treated as a criminal matter, not an attack, as it should have been. Perhaps, if it had been, some 3000 Americans would be alive today.

Both Clintons have so much blood on their hands. I would hate to meet my maker if I were either one of them.

I hope Trump’s people monitor this site, because FReepers have long collective memories. We may make mistakes, but they are quickly corrected. We have a large enough group that the truth is sorted out very quickly.

I flew into Boston and landed late. By the time I got to my hotel room and flipped on the TV they were talking about a plane crash. The reporters were interviewing people on the beaches and who owned houses facing the crash. I could not sleep. So, I watched the news that ran this story endlessly. All the witnesses seemed to see it one way. A stream like a firework rocket went up from the ocean. It hit a plane, dividing it in two. The front fell, followed by the rest of the plane.

The next morning, all those interviews disappeared. And so did the rocket. Later that rocket was supposed to be some kind of illusion. It didn’t happen. The witness only said that the plane fell in two parts. Sometimes, even the video of the witnesses was cut to leave out the part about the rocket. I never flew out of JFK again. Too many crashes.

That is exactly what I remember.

I am a bit of a news junkie and was watching this. People were in shock and talking to reporters, then suddenly, it seemed, what they said wasn't true.

And everything went down the memory hole.
