And who is conducting that investigation? Comey? Ok then.

it seems he did/said everything he possibly could to tarnish HRC, and make the path forward only slightly less complicated for her.

That is why Trump should only talk about this, should only spend ad money on this. In his speeches he should take at least 15 minutes every day to read Comey's charges against her. Hold up a paper and read Comeys words to the crowd.

How will the press change the subject to Sadam Hussein was mean to terrorists when all they ever hear from Trump is Comeys charges against her for putting our national security at risk. Saying, it is the first job of the executive to protect Americans, she has proven she cannot.

I agree with your theory. It was one of the first things that came to mind when I heard the news.

I don't believe that "Comey is a genius" though. I think he was given marching orders all along to "conduct a whitewash investigation to get it behind Madam Benghazi". After all, the public has a very short attention span, and now she can even point to this and claim that it was all a right-wing witch hunt (we FOUND the witch) and that "the FBI cleared her" (another lie).

There’s still a quid pro quo investigation regarding the Clinton Foundation donations and her time as SOS that is not associated with the email investigation.

The Federal Praetorians need to quit wasting taxpeasant dollars effing the dog with their useless investigations that are going to whitewash the Wicked B*tch of the Left just like yesterday.

They should go back to inventing "felonies" that the Bundys committed, like "aggravated conspiracy to spit on the sidewalk".

HRC will be pardoned unconditionally 45 minutes before the Bekins van shows up @ 1600 Penna Ave 1/20/17

And you know what would make that pardon null and void? If Obama turned out to not be Constitutionally eligible to be President — now, wouldn't that be an interesting tactic to take? Cutting through Obama's legacy/legitimacy to get at Crooked Hillary who would believe herself safe does have a nice ring to it.

You’re speaking as if there are (1) fixed rules, limits, precedents, traditions, history, etc; and (2) people generally interested in following them; for moral reasons, for traditional reasons, for appearance reasons, or they just don’t want their asses thrown in jail.

We don’t have anything like that, do we?

Indeed.
I pray for the protection, the promotion and the victory of Donald John Trump.

I’ve seen the same posted by many here on the FR. There are to many high level elites connected with the foundation. The same with the e-mail scandal, Hillary goes down, they all go down. You people are dreaming, we’re owned by the elites.

They must have missed the forest of middle fingers coming from Washington yesterday.

All Washington's cards are on the table:

"Eff you, peasants. Wanna make something of it?"

All we have to remember is: They started it.

The fact of the matter is that Comey’s actions are no better than when Benedict Arnold sold out to the British and decided to turn over West Point to the enemy.

I agree 1000%. This was treason.

Given Clinton's penchant for selling to the highest bidder in other areas, I have no doubt that she sold classified information via her cute little server dodge. I imagine a foreign power/other entity would approach her for info, and when they deposited into the foundation or one of the foundation's cutouts, she would then run the classified info through her very hackable server.

Our country has been sold out, the despots are at the door, and democrat voters are either true believers in despotism and/or sucklings at the government teat.

Comey is corrupt. I give him no pass.

OK, posted before reading comments re Nixon. Wasn’t his resignation basically an admission of guilt? A plea bargain of sorts?

What I am wondering about is the noise that was made over the last few weeks about an “FBI revolt” if no indictment.

Looks like that was a lot of hot air, too.

The only law that the US Government is dedicated to enforcing across the board is the Tax Code. Without it, these elitists would have no power at all.

And perhaps a general tax refusal is the first strike that must be launched.

While I feel your scenario has some merit, it does seem to me that our side is always looking for silver linings while their side is always simply winning.

“Bet he steps down.....to avoid a bus.”

And, hopefully, returns as a key witness for the prosecution when Hillary and Barack are brought up on charges of blackmail, interfering with a federal investigation...and whatever else applies.

. Well, you don’t say that someone CLEARLY broke the law and then do nothing. That is tantamount to saying we have a two tiered legal system; one for the elites and one for the little people. That’s exactly what Comey did and its inexcusable.

Of course we have a two tiered legal system - have had one since the beginning of time.

I think Comey is ruined but I also think he put a Mk 40 torpedo directly amidships to the Presumptive Pantsuit's campaign.

It’s interesting as an intellectual exercise; But IMO the US Congress and more particularly the people do not have 1/500th of the attention span to manage such a complex unwinding process.

Suppose for the sake of brain twist we get to the kind of point you image in let’s say October-December. In one case, the elections have not yet been held, in the other, they have, and HRC wins. 0bama is discovered to have committed deep treason, so serious that even Dems look like they’ll vote to impeach him. What then?

He resigns, Biden steps in, pardons HRC, same result. We are hosed.

“...but I wouldn’t think she could be pardoned for something she hasn’t been convicted of.”
______________________________________________________

I used to think that as well, then I remembered Gerald Ford pardoned Richard Nixon, and Nixon had not been tried and convicted of anything either.

So, where are the agents who, disagreed with this. Where are they, no backbones it seems. One thread said it was all hot air. I am in agreement. Spineless all of them. Who was it who had a lantern looking for one honest man?

*************

What’s different about the Comey statement is that he very publically ripped the blindfold off of Lady Justice. Equal Justice Under Law is no longer even a remotely credible tenant of justice in this country.
