Red, white and boobs: American women boast the biggest breasts in the world

The U.S. is the breast country in the world.

American women have the biggest boobs across the globe, with the average babe’s bosom measuring a D-cup (which would be an F in European sizes).

The Journal of Female Health Sciences busted out this eye-raising new research after analyzing the volume of breast tissue in 342,000 women ages 28-30 in 108 different countries. They only surveyed ladies who were not pregnant or breastfeeding — and those whose boobs were not surgically enhanced — to get the most natural measurements.

“Women born in the U.S.A have by far larger breasts than women in any other country, while women born in Africa and Asia, particularly in the East Asian countries, have the smallest breast volumes,” the writers marveled in their report.

The researchers curiously divided American women into Caucasians and Non-Caucasians — which they didn’t do with any other countries — and found that white Americans are bustier overall, although all U.S. ladies on average are still more well-endowed than the rest of the world.

J. Algernon Hawthorne: Against it? I should be positively astounded to hear of anything that could be said FOR it. Why, the whole bloody place is the most unspeakable matriarchy in the whole history of civilization! Look at yourself, and the way your wife and her strumpet of a mother push you through the hoop! As far as I can see, American men have been totally emasculated. They're like slaves! They die like flies from coronary thrombosis, while their women sit under hairdryers, eating chocolates and arranging for every second Tuesday to be some sort of Mother's Day! And this positively infantile preoccupation with bosoms. In all my time in this wretched, godforsaken country, the one thing that has appalled me most of all is this preposterous preoccupation with bosoms. Don't you realize they have become the dominant theme in American culture: in literature, advertising and all fields of entertainment and everything. I'll wager you anything you like: if American women stopped wearing brassieres, your whole national economy would collapse overnight.

The article said the breast sizes of Americans were larger than others' regardless of fitness and weight, i.e. slender American women still have larger breast size. Pregnant and lactating women, and women with surgical breast enhancement were excluded from the survey.

Sorry to interrupt the general jollity here, but I'm concerned that there are no reasons given for this deviation. Since breast tissue is hormone-sensitive, however, I wonder if it could be a result of exposure to hormonal contraceptives causing breast overgrowth, and/or exposure to environmental endocrine disruptors.

A large variety of things can cause gynecomastia (breast development) in men. I suppose they can affect women, too:

• Certain liver disorders
• Certain drug therapies (including some anabolic steroids antibiotics, heart medicines, anti-anxiety drugs, tricyclic antidepressants, chemotherapy)
• Herbal products (such as lavender oils and tea tree oils in skin products)
