Hojczyk - welcome to FR. The normal format is to post an article from another source and then engage in discussion. Vanity posts (vanity="what I have to say is important enough; I don't need no steenking source") are generally used as an opportunity to make jokes, unless the poster makes a legitimate attempt to write about an issue. Getting a useful reply to question like yours in the first 50 posts is actually doing pretty good)

It became quite clear during the Clinton presidency that someone
in the WH was monitoring every post on FR. It would stretch
credibility to think the 0bama WH wasn’t doing the same.

As a public service the management has decided to share the following information on how your valuable post is reviewed and processed for public consumption.
Upon receipt at FR headquarters, each post is examined through a rigorous, five step process before it is determined to be suitable for public consumption.
First, Humblegunner reviews each post for blog pimping, so that no pimp may escape unslapped.
Second, Humblegunner, (working overtime) or an intern performs a search to ensure that said post has not been posted one (or multiple times) in the recent past. Multi-posters are punished severely.
Third, Lazamataz, or a designated hitter reviews each post for ‘hitability’. Or its inverse. Results are often announced with hyperbolic exclamations and claims of innocence or guilt.
Fourth, the grammar nought-see’s review each post to ensure that it passes muster.
Fifth, and finally, all posts must pass by the bridge of copyright trolls, because ... reasons.
Finally, after all of these measures, the quality assured FR post may be released for the enjoyment of the teeming masses, and the (hopeful) consternation of their enemies.
This also explains why the quarterly Freepathons need to raise so much money. Laz’s prescription drug costs do run rather high, you see.

The music posts used to be an overnight only kinda thing, easy to ignore. But posted during the day, not so much.
