I do not follow his complaint. Is he concerned that victims were left unarmed and defenseless because of gun control? If so, agreed.

Dems and their media minions are in a quandary. The dem party is made up of a “coalition of the oppressed” which includes blacks, Hispanics, Muslims, women, homosexuals, etc. This attack was carried out by one of their coalition partners, against other coalition partners. So, in an effort to smooth over any conflicts within their “coalition of the oppressed” caused by the attack, they have to pivot and make it about gun control and call it a “hate crime”.
You won’t hear any gay spokesperson say anything about the Islamic connection, just as you have never heard any “feminists” speak out about the Muslim rapefest in Europe or the threat of female circumcision facing about 500,000 women here in the US who live under Islamic tyranny in their own homes. Neither do they say anything about honor killings or polygamy when it comes to Muslims here, or the 3rd class citizen status of women in most Islamic countries. Hillary has received $100 MILLION from Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries to by her silence.
