To expand upon that thought: liberals are an identifiable part of our tradition. They are essentially taking a small portion of our tradition and blowing it out of all proportion in relation to every thing else. So...yes...they are infuriating and are the main problem in America, BUT, they are part of our tradition. they are part of US.
Islam, however, has nothing to do with western civilization. It is utterly different and it seeks the destruction of the west, not just Christendom, but the liberal west.
I think much of Christendom gets it. Liberals don’t yet. But until the west is united against Islam, the cancer will continue to grow.
I’m from San Francisco, before it lost it. When I was a vulnerable kid, I knew arch-liberals and gays whose conduct toward me was completely honorable in all respects.

I am a Christian, an American and a Marine. We’ll deal with our own issues amongst ourselves. The Islamist butchers can take their evil back to the Middle East and stay there. Where they bring their simple-minded bullshit to our shores, we should be prepared to deal decisively with it, in the moment.
