One day, one of them is gonna run into a big biker chick in there.
Mothers who allow their children to try on clothes at Target should be investigated for child abuse.
Fire the ceo.
He picked the absolute stupidest thing to draw a line in the sand over and it has cost them 12 billion so far, and rising.
Then fire all the board members who voted with the putz.
In twelve months, if this continues on...I can probably predict forty or fifty of their operations...particularly in the south, will shut down. Come the end of 2017...they might actually be cheap enough for some Chinese company to walk in and buy the whole company (if you see their stock drop to around $40 a share, it would be awful enticing for some purchase concept, and remarket/rename the company).
I can only see one way out for the company.
1) Fire old and hire new management.
2) Change the name of the company (different name on store, different color scheme, different everything).
3) Declare to the public that Target is no more; they can now shop at “new store name.”
4) The new store will go back to the old bathroom policy, saying they follow local, state, and federal laws like everyone else.
This is certainly what would happen if the company was bought by China or someone else.
Expensive SJW mistake.
People still have the right to protect their children from the passions of perverts and, if informed, most will do just that by voting with their feet to another store where their needs can be properly met. Americans will back up until their backs are against the wall before most will fight, but when it comes to their kids, they act. Target deserves to go down. Welcome the Chinese or whomever can return it to the store we all liked and shopped at.
I would bet that Jim Adler, the Texas Hammer is just waiting for that case.
The trend in Europe now....at least around urban areas....to build unisex one-party only toilets (that you pay some small cost to enter). If I were the Target leadership....I’d go put in twenty one-person only toilets at the entrance of each store and charge 1-dollar for usage (giving them some 50-cent token when they leave which they can use at the counter). The whole purpose of toilets is to just dump human waste safely down some pipe into the city’s sewage system. We don’t need to turn this into some social experiment or life destiny achievement gimmick.
I'll never go to a Target again (not that I went that often before). I don't see them ever walking this back. By the time they are circling the drain, the revolution they have helped start will begin to bring down other retailers. As I've said on other threads, if one doesn't feel safe in store changing rooms, there is little reason to prefer a brick-and-mortar retailer over an online one.
When the transgendered madness began, that is when Target should have taken the sensible stance of saying it would protect the needs of the many over the few. They could have become the Chick-Fil-A of retailers. It's too late for them now. They chose to be in the vanguard of the transgender revolution.
To help maintain common sense, I tell Walmart when I shop there that this is WHY - because I’m boycotting Target because of the trans policy.
