VANITY: So What Will Venezuela Eat Once Dogs, Cats & Horses Are Gone?

Posted on 06/02/2016 7:27:41 PM PDT by Cruz_West_Paul2016

Have anyone of us contemplated this dilemma? Here we have a nation, run by liberals and socialists. And this year we have seen how it all ended. Just like in Greece and Maybe Puerto Rico. No Money, and in the case of Venezuela, no food. By now they have probably wiped out most of their pets and farm animals. But they have to eat meat once in a while. What are they going to do? cross over in their neighboring nations and kidnap any animal walking the streets and take them back home for dinner?

We should send the Valenzualeans pallets and pallets of mineral oil.
With a swig of mineral oil, you can eat anything. Rats, cats, bats, bark, twigs, leaves, dirt ... the only problem is, then you can’t trust a fart.
Mineral oil is a harsh mistress.

Discussing this last week (when eggs reached a price of $200 a dozen there) Smart Valenzuela citizens living near Brazil or Columbia borders...might they cross over and find needed supplies available there? Hunt in neighboring countries? Unfamiliar with life in SA....and given this insight, happy to be so ignorant in that regard.

Hillary’s fat enough to feed a whole Venezuelan village for a week.

I lived in Venezuela for two years back in the 70s. It was a corrupt nation in relationship to the government. No one was hungry then, Many are hungry today.

If Venezuela is lucky a coup d’etat by the military will happen and a military dictatorship will happen and perhaps democracy after the dictatorship.

Right now a lovely country full of good people is destined for an internal war that will kill many. Oddly enough a military coup is the best answer hopefully followed by democracy.

I think Venezuela will make it but it will be after much blood.

"I know I can survive as long as there is land and water. And I am not a farmer."

If you were a farmer, you would know that you ALSO need seed. If seed is not available then it is nearly impossible to grow food. I wonder how available seed is in Venezuela?

Long coastline, multiple rivers = lots of seafood.

Warm climate, rain = lots of vegetables.

Think about China. It had a lengthy famine. Now we savor dishes like birds nest soup.
