Overdue impeachment at the IRS
The Washington Times ^ | 26 May, 2016 | The Washington Times

Honesty and loyalty are both virtues, but politics can put them at odds. The Internal Revenue Service commissioner has sacrificed honesty for loyalty, and congressional Republicans say he lied to hide the facts behind the IRS targeting of Tea Party groups, all to help Democrats re-elect President Obama in 2012.

The House Judiciary Committee is trying to conclude the case against IRS chief John Koskinen, seven months after Rep. Jason Chaffetz, Utah Republican, filed a resolution seeking his impeachment. “Koskinen provided misleading testimony before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee,” said Rep. Bob Goodlatte, Virginia Republican, the chairman of the Judiciary Committee. “These are very serious allegations of misconduct.”

Impeachment falls short. SWAT would be proper.

The Washington Times is dreaming. There is a better chance that the UN will come clean and announce that Man Made Global Warming was all just a practical joke.

Current Repubs have been convinced by the media that shutting down the government cost R seats (even though they won the elections afterwards by a landslide) and that talking or taking action against a D POTUS will cost them their re-elections.

A dem POTUS could build work camps for Christians and the R’s would do nothing but wring their hands and attempt to fund-raise off of it.

BUT, I reckon if Trump wins, we’ll hear from all sorts of R’s (and of course the media) chiming in about impeachment every chance they get.

Yep. Every single person involved in the IRS corruption scheme to stop patriots from organizing to prevent the disastrous second term (as if the first one wasn’t bad enough) of obie should be prosecuted, impeached, and of course stripped of any pension they would receive from their criminal acts as IRS employees. This should be the very least that happens to them. Jail time would also be expected. If any regular citizen falls out of favor with the IRS you can bet they will go after them with a vengeance because they act as arms of the liberal/socialist/dem left.

I guess I’ll be getting that audit letter any day now.

Huckabee was right when he called the IRS a criminal enterprise.

I thought lying to Congress while under oath in testimony was a crime - perjury.

There have been a great many overdue impeachments in the past seven years.
