SAN DIEGO (Reuters) - Donald Trump brought his message of walls and deportations to the doorstep of America’s busiest border crossing on Friday as the presumptive Republican presidential nominee greeted supporters in San Diego, amid one of the largest counter-protests organized against him.
The scene inside the San Diego Convention Center during Trump's speech was relatively placid, while outside demonstrators opposed to his controversy-ridden White House bid marched and chanted, carrying signs criticizing his rhetoric against illegal immigration.
Waving U.S. and Mexican flags, more than 1,000 people turned out for anti-trump rallies in San Diego, a city on the U.S.-Mexico border whose San Ysidro port of entry sees nearly 300,000 people a day cross legally between the countries.
San Diego is considered a binational city by many who live and work on opposite sides of the border, and about a third of the city's population is Latino.
During Trump's speech on Friday, some protesters outside the convention center scaled a barrier and lobbed water bottles at police. One man was pulled off the wall and arrested as others were surrounded by fellow protesters and backed away from the confrontation.
After the convention center emptied, clusters of Trump supporters and anti-Trump demonstrators began to mix in the streets, many exchanging shouted epithets and some throwing water bottles at one another.

And many of them arrived in buses directly from Mexico. A friend sent me an email indicating the CBP was ordered to allow them into the country on those buses. I’m certain that Mexico would allow us entry over there to protest their Presidential elections. (NOT)
I attended. Security was very tight, including huge numbers of San Diego police and frisking by Secret Service agents who took the tiny knife on my key chain. Only two protestors managed to get into the rally and were ejected, accompanied with Trump’s usual shout: “Get ‘em out!” Sarah Palin’s appearance was a surprise and her speech a rouser.
It has always bothered me - why these idiots came to the U.S. in the first place to get out of Mexico and now want to make the U.S. just like Mexico?
Estimates varied wildly: from 10,000 t0 25,000. It was held in a gigantic convention hall with most of the attendees standing so difficult to get an accurate count. But the crowd was yuge!
These are primarily ILLEGALS who know they’re on their way back across the border if Trump is elected.

I saw video of that incident. The cops had the batons going in full swing. They popped a bunch of noggins and quieted that little outburst right down.
You, me and a million more. We are all tired of being on the wrong side of everything this Muslim President Obama does. He is an insult and butt kick to every man or woman who carried a weapon to defend American liberty. Those who were there and worked in many ways to defend, feed and raise American young and the Hometown, agree.
San Diego still has vestiges of the conservative-minded city it long had been so most citizens will applaud the police handling of the would-be rioters without the usual “poh-leese brutality” cries heard in more liberal cities.

That San Diego convention center is huge. It can hold thousands of people. It takes some time and effort just to walk from one end of the building to the other. I wasn’t at the Trump rally but some years ago I happened to be at the convention center and that place is huge.
sorry, but the pictures do not reveal protestors, they clearly show anarchists, no different than those we see in Europe.
Some patriotic investigative reporter needs to find out who they are, where they are from and who is paying the costs - specifically!

You know, right across the street from the San Diego convention center - a short walk literaly across the street - is a trolley that runs throughout the city and it even goes right to the Mexican border! That’s right! All the Mexican flag-waving people can just go to a trolley stop, take a ride for a few minutes to the stop right near the border, and walk a little ways and cross the border. Maybe if they are here illegally and we have a better government, the illegal visitors can be given free stuff - like a free ride to the border.
They continue to outright lie that Trump is responsible for the protests, citing statements and opinions that Trump has never made.
CNN is now in full Hillary Clinton campaign mode.
Some idiot on CNN was saying Trump was inciting the violence because by him saying he’s going to build the wall, is in itself a violent act/policy & threatens the illegal immigrant livelihood so they have no choice but to respond with violence of their own.

I watched live streaming from a helicopter for 1/2 hour and never saw a US flag. I’m sure the Yahoos were able to find one somewhere in order to make their report ‘accurate.’
WRONG! The law that was passed in response to illegals was overturn by a court if I recall correctly. Government unions have pushed for massive illegal immigration to California so they control the state government with their wetback votes and so they can continue to pad their obscenely generation pensions.
You can travel a hundred miles through Central Valley sometimes and never see a white person. You’d think you were in Mexico. California has 32 percent of the nation’s welfare cases even though its only 13 percent of the nation’s population.
The destruction of California has been coldly and carefully plotted by the left in California and nationally for years. No wonder they are having conniptions. The gig is up. If you shut off the flow of illegals, the flow of people from other states in the U.S. will rebalance the population that’s leaving. It could bring another California miracle.
