Read the link in post #69.

And look up Vic Feazell. When he was DA his office stopped prosecuting the PD’s DWI cases because of the corruption. Every police power in the state, with the exception of the McClennan County Sheriff’s Office went after Feazell.

Baylor runs the scummiest program in the Big 12, maybe in all of college football. Briles is trash. In addition to all the rape stuff he is said by his peers to be a dirty recruiter, i.e. paying and other favors, and rumors of INTENSE steroid abuse dog him back to his high school coaching days at Stephenville TX. Baylor will be better off without him.

Your post tells me why Patterson hates him so much.

But, if he does cheat in recruiting he doesn’t succeed that often. He doesn’t get a lot of 5 star recruits.

I know for a fact that Arkansas wanted Briles and had him. Then all of a sudden they withdrew their offer. I wonder if they didn’t learn about all this.

I don’t blame you for requesting a refund.

Haven’t been to a game since Grant Teaff was coach but enjoyed watching them play the past few seasons. Doubt that’ll be happening again any time soon.

A lot of other coaches have complained about Belima’s (sp) character.

I was there when Teaff was the coach. He was a heck of a motivator and believed in discipline.

:He wasn’t fired because of his win-loss record. His program has been hit with some major rape scandals & he’s turned a blind eye to his players’ shenanigans.”

Ahh. Off the field shenanigans.

I haven’t followed any sports news since the super bowl.

You KNOW that the other coaches kept it quiet, too. But when the investigators came around they told the truth. I doubt Briles did.

This could end up worse than the Penn State scandal with Jerry Sandusky.

Not only did the entire coaching staff from Art Briles down trying to hide the allegations of violent crimes against women, but now we know that school administration, the Waco Police Department, and possibly even the Waco city government were complicit in covering up the crimes. And this on top of the Baylor basketball scandal from 13 years ago, when player Patrick Dennehy was murdered by a fellow player on the team.

In short, this could reach the level of the SMU football team scandals from the late 1970's to middle 1980's. And it may be enough for the NCAA is seriously consider imposing the death penalty, even though the NCAA very rarely considers, let alone imposes, such a severe punishment.

“Back in the 70s Arkansas was scheduled to play powerhouse Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl. Three players, two of them “stars”, were accused of sexual assault and Holtz kicked them off the team. The bookies wouldn’t even take bets on the game. Arkansas won 31-10.”

Wasn’t that 1977? And, Arkansas won 31-6.
The problem with your analogy is that Oklahoma’s head coach was discovered to be having an affair with the wife of us offensive coordinator just prior to the game. Many consider this the reason behind Arkansas victory.

I think there were police officials who knew about Sandusky, too. I could be wrong.

I’m a Baylor alumni and huge fan and at first simply did not want to believe this. But now the evidence is overwhelming. This is more than one coach molesting little boys. This is not only sexual assault. It’s also just plain violence against women AND men. I wouldn’t blame the NCAA if the impose the death penalty.

And I doubt very seriously if all the thugs left two years ago. There will be other claims from other women before too long about things that happened in the past two years. And there will be more women coming forward from 6 years ago or longer.

Next comes the donors withdrawing their promises. My wife emailed Baylor demanding a refund. Following is the response from Baylor: “At this time, we are taking down names and requests. I have documented your email and we will get back to you.”

Finally, the state police should now get involved and, if possible, charge the perps.

I’ve got some Baylor shirts and caps for sale....cheap!

My wife said we can’t give them to charity because it would be like giving muffin stumps to a soup kitchen.

Yep, it’s time to call in the Texas Ranger Division and take down the coaches, school administrators, high officials in the Waco PD and even the Waco city government.

For what it’s worth, my great-great-grandfather William Carey Crane moved Baylor to Waco in 1885. He was president from 1863 to 1885.

I thought Abraham Lincoln was.

And don’t forget the perps. I don’t think the statute of limitations has run out on any of them.

The first institution of higher learning in Texas. When it was started there were separate male and female schools. They should have kept it that way.

Do you have a copy of your ancestor’s biography of Sam Houston?

http://www.independencetx.com/SamHoustonHouse.htm

During the next four years, Mrs. Houston sent her oldest children to Baylor, oversaw the marriages of her two oldest daughters, and persuaded Baylor President William Carey Crane to write a biography of Sam Houston.
