Christopher Walken reads The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe. A short film starring Christopher Walken.
I bought a Classics Illustrated comic book of The Raven, illustrated by noted cartoonist Gahan Wilson, and read it to my son when he was maybe 5 or 6. He loved it. I need to see if it’s still around. Kid turns 30 this year.

A lot of book reports were done from Classic Comics. They really were pretty good.
I had another source of comics during the late 50s and early 60s. Both the Army and Navy recruiters had displays of free literature in the Post Office. Actually both had offices in the same building.
I would get Army and Navy comic books which were good history told on a kid’s level. Did I mention they were free?
There are a few lines in “The Raven” that are genius.
“And each separate, dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.”
“Vainly I had thought to borrow from my books surcease of sorrow.”
“And the silken, sad, uncertain rustling of each purple curtain ...”
My dad had it memorized. He was a musician among other things and loved the rhythym of the words.
Gotta love Vincent price
Elvira said it was a Poe picture.
