Laz and all:
I think a few things are in play here.
First, I don’t think that overall shootings have gone down at much, but the dramatic ones seem to have subsided a bit. I would credit that to hitting a cultural tipping point. We have enough folks who are packing...or more importantly are perceived to be packing....that the twisted risk/rewards analysis that mass shooters go through has shifted. These twisted asshats are looking for drama and big numbers and the number of folks perceived to pack have thrown a spanner in the works.
Second. There has also been something of a cultural shift amongst gun owners as well. The willingness to abide by “stupid” carry restrictions has waned. I would speculate that “no guns” signs, where such are to be found, are being routinely ignored. That also mitigates against mass shootings as gun free zones are likely less gun free than they were 10 years ago.
Third. The media narrative isn’t working. The leftards are figuring that out so there is less reporting of what mass shootings there are.
Fast forward ten years and I think mass shootings in the US will be exceptionally rare. We’ll still have hoodrats shooting each other and the occasional domestic dispute gone really bad.
Spot on brother. I think you nailed it.
The damned government stooges on this thread can ROT, though.
EXACTLY!!!
A Spanner in the Works !
