That is one reason why I retired four years ago. The writing on the wall doesn’t look to good.
The vast majority of these weapons are brought for self-defense.

BTw, back in 1952 we lived about a block from Dupont Circle in Wash DC. I had an older kid chase me home with a meat cleaver. Mom promptly disarmed him and, admiring her new meat cleaver, sent him on his way.
Here, more specifically, the Katrina trash. Illegal Mexicans were a close second.
When I worked at the one and only state intake facility for youths, minority girls were at the top of the list. No of the counselors wanted to deal with those vicious monsters. One would think that they'd be on their best behavior since we determined where they would be spending their next few years. But nooooo. They'd just as soon jump you as look at you. On any day, the worst boy was an angel compared to black girls.
Curiously, no statistics are available on the ethnicity of the kids bringing in the weapons.

However, idiocy is color-blind. I’ve seen it in equal measure from every crayon in the box, including yellow.
That is absolutely true. It is much more uncommon to see an Asian bad actor, but you do see them. Mostly in ghetto schools, where apparently they are trying to fit in. Indian kids can go either way. Lots of them are in ghetto school and are as big a smart aleck as any, but it’s almost always blacks, followed by Hispanics who act out first. And then, more often than not, those are kids who are in foster homes. So Foster Mama is just taking the money and doing barely anything to really earn it.

This is exactly why I now teach in extremely rural school district. I spent ten years in an inner city hell. I tell the people that I work with now that they have no idea how good they have it.
I salute you for sticking it out there. No power on earth, and no amount of money, would move me to teach in such an environment. Nor would I have any success in reaching any of the denizens such a place. But I have had a few close ones myself and I teach in a rural school, where such things, while uncommon, are not unheard of. Good luck to you, and hope you survive the rest of the school year.

I know two public school teachers who “work” on welfare reservations here in northeastern NJ, and they make a lot of money working 180 days per year because of the “combat pay” element (on top of NJ’s already-high salaries). They do it by basically accepting that the “students” have no future anyway, and they are just babysitting. If whites exposed their children to the environments in which the ferals are raised, they’d be taken from the homes by the government. Kids without winter coats, hygiene issues (scabies, lice and such); there is no “parenting” taking place at all...
A common scheme to supplement public assistance (especially as one’s own children age and no longer “earn” freebies for the sows that breed them)...house them and collect the checks.
I don’t think any whites remain in those schools (at all); I never understood the appeal of trailer parks until I realized the alternative was unthinkable. A friend that taught in one of those schools (100% black) described one year in which they had two white students (siblings); the next year they were gone. Desegregating our schools accomplished the complete segregation of our municipalities...
And the federal judge who "invented" bussing later admitted that it was the worst idea he'd ever had.
Parents of any ethnicity who allow their children to go to public shhool, any public school, are child abusers. Even the “good schools” don’t really teach anything useful now- history is almost nonexistent and what there is is fable. English instruction is taboo and algegra is on the way out. The “socialization” that used to be the excuse has been indubitably ahown to be far superior in homeschooling. If football is sufficient excuse to keep a child in public school, then the parents are only interested in going to football games and their child can facilitate that.
