A St. Petersburg man who videotaped himself going into a local Target said he was just trying to clarify the company’s bathroom policy. That video has since gone viral. It was recorded on the heels of Target’s recent announcement about its policy.
“(We) welcome transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity … Everyone deserves to feel like they belong,” Target said.
Both the local video and Target’s policy have come under fire.
More than 800,000 people have signed a petition from the American Family Association saying they will boycott the big-box chain because of the policy.
Andy Park says he went to the St. Petersburg store on Park Street Friday. Park told News Channel 8 he was “dressed like a man” and originally thought the policy was a hoax.

I'm thinking a lawsuit may be in order.
One of my friends wants to conduct a “$hit-in” at the local Target. He thinks we should get about 10 guys and take over the women’s bathroom.
We’ll need a few signs (Hey, hey, ho, ho, watch out lady I gotta go) and a roll of toilet paper with Obama’s picture on the squares.
Could be a good way for a few retired guys to spend a rainy day.
“Our target still has bathrooms with doors labeled “MEN” and “LADIES.”
Our friend has a restaurant and the restrooms were labeled “Men” and “Ladies.” A feminist customer took exception to that - asked to see the owner - and ranted at the inequity of the restroom signs. Our friend promised to fix it - and he did so right away.
Two days later, the restrooms were labeled “Ladies” and “Gentlemen.”
Absolutely. Nobody pulling the wool over your eyes.
Men dressed as women have been using women's bathrooms for decades. It has been no problem.
That said, opening up women's rooms to any man who claims to feel whatever is insane.
Attending to it does not mean we’re ignoring or unaware of more important things.
They should just state, “RESTROOM”.
Not a bad idea. But women should do it, too.
I wonder if possibly men might be more victims of this. Men tend not to care about being in the open with their urinating, urinals out in full view. No modesty.
Much easier for women to get a thrill by walking in and easily getting a glimpse of maleness.
Men will have a hard time “seeing” women.
As I walked out I told a security guard I just used the ladies room, he said "great".

EXACTLY!! At this point why even bother having different rooms based on gender. Just have as single unisex bathroom and be done with it?
When I signed it, I was number 200,000+. I see the signers are more than 1.2 million now!

Somebody needs to start producing those shirts & selling them outside Target.
