$265,000 McLaren?
It’s the inexpensive one.

That’s so disappointing. I’d probably do the same with that sort of torque!

Man, I hate it when that happens.
And to think I was upset when someone at Walmart smashed their shopping cart into my brand new truck, and dented the door, an hour after I bought it.

Bad Idea: Putting the car in Track Mode, disabling stability and traction controls, for your first test drive.

I recall a similar incident documented in Road and Track about 15 or 20 years ago. An American received his new Maclaren F1 and promptly broke the tires free, sending it into a tree. $250K damage, after only 2 miles of driving.

Some clown whacked a Ferrari into a retaining wall somewhere in England last week also. If you’ve ever seen British roads you might wonder where someone would even try to drive a car like that. It’d be like buying a supercharged drag bike to ride around on Manhattan.

Essex police are not completely sure on the identity of the driver who was piloting the car at the timeI guess if you are rich enough to buy a McLaren, you're rich enough for the cops to not be able to identify you when you drink and drive (into a tree).

A trip down memory lane all the way back to 1983: Dennis Barnhart killed himself in a Ferrari the day his Eagle Computer went public and he scored $9 million for himself.
