Heck, I remember people dancing to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ldyx3KHOFXw
at a house party in South Central. Yup. DJ was set up in the garage. Food on folding tables in there and the yard.
The driveway was the dance floor.
Where the DJ found this record is beyond me...I guess he saw me dancing and thought I needed some help.

Todd R undgren filled in the lead as the new cars back in 2008. They were great. All the band except Rick.

I love their music. We were lost in the mountains at night driving around trying to find the right turnoff.
The music from their eponymous first album was perfect for keeping us on edge but not going insane.
Saw them "live" if that's what you could call it. Definitely not a great live band.

Excellent!

One of the bigger soundtracks to my then-22-year-old life. :)

The drummer, David Robinson, did some cover art for the band over the years. I still enjoy each of their albums including “Panorama” and “Door to Door” which are generally avoided by radio stations. That said, the cover girl here, and her story, may be of interest:

I had a ‘78 built to my order. Kept it to 200k.
