Joni Ernst would also make an interesting choice. Discuss.

No Ernst ever, West is a good man.

And yes I think Ted Cruz as VP is the right thing to do.

He’s a lightweight military guy ( retired LTC is no VP)...

West received his commission from ROTC, not from West Point. I know there are exceptions, but without that ring LTC or COL would have been about as far as he could have gone.

As to the rest of your post, you do make some valid points.

two left of center political hacks? no thanks. I would rather have Ivanka. (move her to Florida for electoral college reasons)

The Delta Force general would be a good choice...can’t remember his name...Boykin Jerry Boykin

But you see, the congress is not going to be trump’s enemy
He needs the congress to move on his agenda and he is usedto making the deal among adversarial interests and getting things done
Let’s hope it translates into similar political results

West is a lightweight at this level of the game
And this may be one of the hardest games ever inherited by a US President given our perilous economy and security situation
Trump needs his own Dick Cheney , a guy respected by both sides of the aisle who knows the rules and how to get things done
The consummate bureau chief
And knows where the bodies are buried

You had posted on another thread that was pulled, and I had typed a long reply, so I wanted you to see it:

If you even entertain the idea of voting for Hillary you were never a conservative or even a Republican.

I don't know about you, 2DV, but I sure am glad we've entered a new phase.

I wish Ted Cruz well, and I hope those who were against Trump can start to think more positively about him and realize that he's not in this for his ego.

Think about it. Trump is taking a huge risk with his brand. I don't think he wants to go down being hated for being a bad President, after having such a successful life in the private sector.

I think Trump loves his country, is in this for the right reasons, and truly wants to make America great again.

All I'm asking anyone is to give him the benefit of the doubt through next January.

As for Ted Cruz, I take back everything bad I ever said about the man.

Well, anyway, but seriously, I think and venture to guess that Cruz learned some important lessons in this race. I really do think that he left the path of his own best judgement at some point, when he decided to go so negative on Donald Trump. Once someone reaches frontrunner status, Machiavellian tactics can often backfire.

Also, you were being such an effective propagandist for Ted Cruz (I say that with no animosity, you were simply "doing your job" as a concerned citizen, employee, or whatever) that people like myself felt it incumbent to act as counter-propagandists.

When I use the word propaganda in this context, I'm using it neutrally. Propaganda can be and often is used to spread positive ideas. So the word doesn't automatically have a negative connotation in all cases.

So, I hope you don't take anything I posted personally (if you noticed it at all). I'm sure plenty of it was harsh and "unfair". But that's the nature of "spin wars", and obviously many of the articles you posted left something to be desired as far as fairness or balance.

So I don't consider you an enemy, and I hope you can bring yourself to feel the same way, and to give our presumptive nominee, who is admittedly a flawed (but intrinsically decent) man a chance, because I think the potential is here for revolutionary change. The good kind; nothing which harms the Constitution.

Indeed, hopefully we will get back to the Constitution, and hopefully President Trump (if he makes it that far) will put all the right People in all the right places.

So congratulations on fighting so hard for Ted, and for doing it with the class that many others didn't display.

FReegards,

Sargon

Too bad. The VP should be strongly for protecting our borders and deporting illegal aliens plus but a stop the bringing in Syrians and other Muslims. We have seen the Somalis, for example, raising their children to support ISIS and other terrorist groups.

You misspelled Ted Cruz.

Do you really think that (Cruz as VP) could be in the cards, after all the acrimony?

Do you think Ted Cruz would accept?

Would someone like you want that?

I have to admit that, from a purely theoretical standpoint, they would be a strong ticket.

We'll see how much mutual forgiveness and apologies are possible.

Politics is a brutal sport...

There are exceptional men who rise in the military because they are exceptional

General Mike Hayden is one - a non rated non ring knocker USAF guy who made 4,stars and led both the NSA and the CIA
It’s a D&mn shame he turned into a #nevertrumper and now I look at him as just another yammering fool way too impressed with himself

Oh well
West would kick a$$ as VA Secretary and that is one of Trumps special promises to take care of the vets

It used to be that the first runner-up was automatically the vice presidential nominee.

I don’t believe either man respects the other and it’s not going to happen
Thanks be ...

Cruz will be lucky to keep his senate seat given what has been revealed about his character and temperament under pressure

Hopefully he’ll calm down and go back to work and not spend any more time lobbing spitballs at Trumo, but I wouldn’t count on it

Listen man, I know this whole NBC issue is screwy, and as I've mentioned, I myself believe that Ted Cruz is an NBC; but I sure would like to see a federal ruling confirming that.

Because the Democrats are so slimy that I wouldn't put it past them to take legal action regarding Cruz, despite the rank hypocrisy it might represent.

Don't you think the Dems might try to make an issue of it?

West was accused of sexual harassment when he worked at PJ Media. He was quickly let go, and that seemed to be the end of it.

Google “allen west” “sexual harassment”

And don’t kill the messenger. Thx.

Thanks for the info. If that story turns out to be legit, I'll be disappointed. And then I'll just go back to my original choice: Trump/Hank Jr.

But please don't say anything bad about ol' Bocephus.
