Joni Ernst is a great Senator and solid conservative. Just not ready for prime time IMO. This election will require a serious professional slinger.
I wondered about Scott Walker because he seemed to get out so early. He’s also been able to stand up to the left, repeatedly.

Trump is the outsider and now needs a loyal ethical insider who will work with him and for him to move the DC bureaucracy and congress into doing some very painful but necessary changes

Chris Christie is an awful suggestion.
You make some good points, but West HAS served in Congress and knows the enemy when he sees it. Trump would be wise to find a meaningful and visible job for him in his Administration.

West has the strength of character and moral integrity to do the job right.
As for Congress, he was targeted by the libs and there are questions about how much election fraud was launched against him.
He did have a chance to take on the “birther” issue, but he chickened out.
His strengths far outweigh his weaknesses, IMHO. He would be my choice.
