No 6 is the only one that predates me. Astounded how many of these I have owned.

TIME has released their list of the most influential Gadgets of all time. Apple holds 10% of the list with five of the spots on the list with the Apple iPhone holding the Top Spot with the iPhone in #1, the Macintosh Computer in #3, the iPod in #9, the iPad in #25, and the Apple iBook in #38. Android makes the list a couple of times, and IBM and Microsoft are their with the first PC, the IBM Model 5150 (I wonder if the police slang for a crazy person of 51-50 had anything to do with that?), and the IBM Selectric Typewriter, and even a vibrator made the list with Hitachi's Magic Wand. . . LOL! PING! Pinging Dayglored, Shadow Ace, and ThunderSleeps for their ping lists.
TIME Magazine Editors' Choice for
#10 Most Influential Gadget of All Time!
Uh, no, it is not a microphone!
Ping!
The latest Apple/Mac/iOS Pings can be found by searching Keyword "ApplePingList" on FreeRepublic's Search.

None of these save the Victrola is more than 100 years old. I would think the Model T Ford, steamship and locomotive ought to be on the list.

Planes, er, steamships, trains & automobiles aren’t exactly “gadgets”.
To: Swordmaker
Missing from the list - Kodak Instamatic camera and the TI SR-10, the first pocket calculator with algebraic function.

That didn’t catch on because a good percentage of women, and dogs, can hear in the hertz range of that sonic remote, and found it annoying.

What is that thing - an iDildo? Uh, add electric to that, and drop the "I" and you've got it.
About five Christmasses ago, I walked into a Walmart near my house. . . As you walked into the entrance, in the line of special sale items, they had a couple of pallates of these in two different styles as "personal relaxing massage devices" on sale as "stocking stuffers" $12.97. . . You couldn't get close to either of the five foot high stacks of the products as people were grabbing several at a time! I heard matrons saying "My daughters are gonna love these!"
The pictures on the boxes showed a lovely model holding the vibrating head of the "personal relaxing massage device" up to her cheek, with a heavenly look on her face. LOL!
By the time I left twenty minutes later, the palattes were empty!
