Rescue Cat Turns Her Crooked Jaw into a Beautiful Smile
by morgothviolatedmymother · 12 hours ago
Duchess the Miracle Cat was brought into a Texas animal hospital. Most places wouldve just euthanised her...
...as she had a broken jaw and other complications. But two vets decided that they were going to take a chance on the unlucky feline.
Her chances of survival were slim, and Duchess had to have all her teeth removed.
Luckily, everything went perfect and Duchess got a beautiful smile!
The best part? After seeing this smile, Crystal Tate decided to adopt her straight from the clinic!
"The day I first met Duchess, her mouth was just beginning to heal, and the feeding tube had just been removed, and she was very thin."
"The lowest meow caught my attention; her eyes showed so much sadness, but her purrs showed so much love and hope."
"The doctors asked me if I could give her a home a few weeks later. I knew immediately we were meant to land in each other lives."
"I had never cared for a special needs kitty, and she had never experienced life as a special needs kitty, but we learned together."
"And now she's grown so much, and I couldn't be prouder..."
"...from a cat whose chances of survival were at 20% to a spunky little love bug who climbs on everything and loves on everyone."
"She reminds me everyday that each day is a gift, and that miracles really do happen."

Pretty little kitty. Thanks so much to the angels of mercy who did not discard a wounded beastie as “not worth the effort.” Kinda fed up with casual callousness towards lesser creatures at the moment, just in a foul mood all around for some reason.
Thankya for a feel-good story, ya’ll.

Glad she got a chance to live a good life. I enjoy watching the Vet Ranch channel on Youtube for the same reason. They are always taking shelter pets about to be put down for various reasons like this and correcting the condition so the pet can be adopted.

Not you Radu, because I sense you have done your cat duty:
Anyone in the Houston area wants a kitten please let me know. I will deliver.
I am cat sitting for my neighbor. Cat had kittens.
They are I guess a week or two old and their eyes are open.
I got a (female) calico, 2 oranges, and a black with white feet fellow that looks just like his slut father.
I want them. I love cats, but wife says we are at capacity now.

My cat had 5 kittens recently. 4 were orange and white and one was black and white. The black and white one is missing half his right front foot.
We call him Tripod. We’ll be homing the other 4 this weekend. We are keeping Tripod. Tripod is getting around just fine and plays with the others like any other cat.

Actually he is missing half his leg. We didn’t know it as momma hid them very well and we didn’t see it till they stated moving around.
