“Donald has never been an individual I could support.
Ah, it appears you have more in common with liberal democrats than the majority of republicans - not to mention the vast majority of patriots.
I submit this into nomination as Lame Opus of the Year.
Do you expect something to change because of it?
Since 2007? In FReeper years, you’re a noob. Sick around, things are just getting interesting.
That ship has sailed, sir. Don't you get it?
Trump is guaranteed New Jersey at the very least. That puts him at 1050 delegates.
Do you really think Donald Trump doesn't deserve the nomination? Do you really think Ted Cruz deserves to limp into the convention with, what, 650 delegates or so, and steal the nomination?
The notion is absurd for multiple reasons.
That means it's time to unite behind the presumptive nominee.
And that means that the time for vicious lies and slander about Donald Trump is at an end.
Anyone who is still stuck on attacking Donald Trump, the presumptive nominee, at this point, is working for the Hillary campaign.
You Ted Cruz fanboys just don't get it. This forum has had the debate over whether Trump is a decent American or instead the evil incarnate demon which you Trump-haters think he is.
That debate is over. You have lost that debate. So it's time to unify behind the presumptive nominee.
The Cruz campaign is finished, and doesn't deserve any further support.
Ted Cruz won't even state whether he'll support the nominee.
Ted Cruz has jumped the shark. If you wish to do so, that's not our problem anymore.
Vote Trump
err...stick...not sick
Exactly.
Don’t opus me, bro.
“And you whine because your candidate is a disgusting POS politician that only thinks of himself...”
Well, in all fairness, Ted is for all of the Pacific treaties so that the poor and middle class have access to lots and lots of low priced imported junk at low cost to keep their cost of living down. :-).
I guess that’s what the GOPe’s so called “compassionate Conservatism” is all about. Low priced junk for the masses when all opportunity has been traded away in one sided ‘free trade’ treaties!
I was a big Cruz fan myself until this campaign. When someone does what he’s doing to win the Presidency, my ‘powermonger’ detector goes off and I lose all respect for that person.
I have PLENTY of issues with Trump ... however, one thing I am certain of when it comes to him is that he doesn’t “need” the Presidency for anything. I have a hard time believing that Trump is going to deliver on his promises, but I know for a fact that Ted Cruz is making himself only look Conservative both socially and politically for the optics ... his actions have shown otherwise.
Americans that feel threatened for voicing their opinions do poor service to all those killed in action military members, from Concord Green to Today, that died so that those squeamish few COULD voice their opinion, without reproach!
You missed out on this one. Didn’t see any replies by you, so figured a ping would work.
Somebody needs to call you a Whaaaaabulance! Bye jackass!
“Seriously. There are probably fewer ‘tweener girl meltdowns on the average Taylor Swift message board. ;) “
At least Swift is reaping millions, whereas the ones here just get Charlie Brown’s ROCK....................
“Do you really think Donald Trump doesn’t deserve the nomination? Do you really think Ted Cruz deserves to limp into the convention with, what, 650 delegates or so, and steal the nomination?”
No, I expect Trump to get to 1237, and then Cruz pledge all his delegates to Trump. Not one delegate earlier.
I been a Cruz fan from the get go when he won his senate seat. We did to Cruz what we have done to every “conservative” potential candidate since day 1. The minute they claim a position we do not agree with, they are dead to us. They become just another lying politician.
Trump is different in that he didn’t have to go through the process. He is a fresh face, with ideas that our elected majorities promised us and then reneged. Last election was about conservatism and instead of going with a Bachman or Cain we wound up with Obama in White. This election is not about abortion or gay marriage. It is about taking our country back and frankly an evangelical senator with an adversarial relationship within his own party won’t get the job done. It will be like Carter after 1988.
I’m not sure what Trump can get done. But given everything being equal, at the least he has the business sense to get us a better deal in the global markets. Which mean jobs. Will he build a wall? I think he will give it a valiant effort, but like Bush with Social Security, this has turned into a third rail issue.
As for the vitriol and rhetoric of both candidates and their supporters, it’s politics, it’s dirty and if you cannot take the heat, move out of Texas.
One thing that struck me was most of the Trump fans have admitted their candidate is a flawed person. If you challenge a Trump fan on one of Trumps defects, they will generally admit it with this response:
Yup that is true, but for this situation he is the best candidate to enact the change we need.
If you point out he may not follow through they generally answer on this order:
That is true, big risk, but what choice do we have? If he does 1/2 of what he promises we will be better off.
In contrast I have seen very few Cruz fans that would admit any of his defects. Heck you cannot even get them to admits he lies. I hate to say this because I do get that Cruz fans are mostly social conservatives and feel that we need to fix the moral problems first, I do get that point of view and it may be true. But frankly like it or not the primary voters are at the tail end of voting and it does not look like Cruz can pull out a victory, no matter what he does.
if you look at personal preference, form the folks I know Cruz is coming out of this primary season looking like a much smaller man then when he entered it.

"I'm Gone with the Wind fabulous, okaaay? Now twirl, and twirl, and twirl..."
And yet the Magic 8 Ball, introduced in 1950, is still a big seller, a sort of home entertainment classic. As metaphors go, you can do better.
