Boycott the Pro Cruz article spammers
Vanity | May 1, 2016 | Kudsman

Sorry for the vanity, but this is getting tiresome to me. The same few posters find any drivel to support Lyin' Ted or any screed to jab Mr. Trump. We all know who they are. What if nobody responds to their attempts to incite? Maybe the threads die out sooner and some of the invectives against one another lessen.

I know that I have been purposely avoiding even reading articles posted by the select few. I have found my blood pressure to be much better once I started ignoring the falling trees.

“I can and will support Trump or Cruz.”

There won’t be a Cruz to support in the General. First, he can’t get the 1237 he needs; that ship has sailed. Second, we all heard Boehner’s comments this week about the man and that’s all we need to know about how the GOPe will allow this effort to end in Cleveland. They will not tolerate Cruz in the Oval Office.

Cruz is useful to them now, to dilute Trump’s votes. When/if that’s a done deal, then Cruz will be kicked to the curb in a heartbeat. It won’t be a question of Trump or Cruz. It’ll be Trump if he gets the 1237. If he doesn’t, it’ll be Jeb or Romney.

You can find some of them if you do a search of the FR caucus threads. You could probably find others that may not have participated in the FR caucus by searching many keywords pertaining to zotting.

You’ll find that some simply stopped posting or self-exiled, but many were given an FR vaycay. Some were reinstated but have no, or very few, recent posts.

So you are for surpressing free association...?

Not at all. Just had the thought that any article posted by (insert name here) could be avoided because we have been previously deluged by their activism. If they got the cold shoulder their proliferation might wane. That was the topic I was hoping would be expounded upon.

I promise I won’t use the invective “little Marco”. He’s irrelevant.

Now, as far as lyin Ted goes....... as long as he keeps “lyin “ I’ll keep calling him Lyin Ted.

Yes.

We must shout anyone with an opposing viewpoint into silence.

Only the official party line can be tolerated.

At this point the pro-cruzers know it’s all but over for their guy.

He has no way to win the nomination outright, and any deal making where he ends up the nominee after a second or third ballot will only anger the Trump base and they will stay home in November...which elects Killery

This strategy to force a contested convention is a fools errand and needs to stop. Cruz needs to wind down his campaign, congratulate Trump and try to salvage his reputation.

What some here don’t realize is some are paid disruptors. Their goal is to not persuade people but to get them to stop coming to this site, to make it as nasty as possible.

Some here play into this by going toe to toe with them.

You are funny about blood pressure if you think you are the only one. I imagine we all have had our moments.
While I have never posted on Free Republic, I have been a Cruz supporter. But now it has gone on too long and I am happy with Trump. He can’t be worse than Hillary and maybe a lot better. It will soon be over and no one will deny Trump the nomination I’m sure.
Cruz supporters are beginning to see the light. Winning by hook or crook isn’t the American way. In America majority wins. That’s the way we do things here.

I finally unfriended some Cruzbot (former Rubiobot) on my Facebook the other day. I’d known the guy for years, but he was one of these who just mindlessly reposted any and all anti-Trump articles, no matter what the source or how ridiculous. He reposted some article about Trump being sued for supposedly holding some girl “as a sex slave” back in 1994 (why she would have waited 22 years until he was running for the presidency, I think we could all surmise). I just finally reached the point where this guy was so ridiculous, I couldn’t justify having him polluting my friends list anymore.

You can look through Jim Robinsons replies. You have to scroll a bit but I imagine most of the ones JR banned are there.

It’s a great list of the really bad guys we don’t miss.

” I can and will support Trump or Cruz”

Support Cruz for what? Dog catcher? Cruz is finished in politics. He is out of the presidential race and will likely lose his Senate seat when that election comes up. So what exactly are you supporting him for.

It’s like the “front runners” Trump and Cruz. There was only ever ONE front runner, Trump. No one else has been in the lead since Iowa.

Not hyperbole, not beating up on Ted, Like my tag line says, Just the facts, ma’am, Just the facts.

Remember, “2nd place is just the first loser” and lately Ted, more often than not, is the SECOND loser.

I took this post as to just skip reading posts that are too askew for Cruz and highly negative of Trump and not to alienate the posters. I avoid Fox News for the same reason it pisses me off. I think Cruz supporters have a right to their opinion and I have a right not to partake of it.

Do you care to comment on the "Cruzlims" invective ?

If Trump wins the nomination, which seems likely, I will vote for him...

It certainly isn't because of any Trump supporters convincing me...

Ted Cruz is a decent conservative man who took on the Washington cartel, keeping his promise to his Texas constitutions...to fight for them...

I didn't like how his campaign turned out, but it was in response to Trump's campaign...

Trump posters projected Trumps over the top type childish campaigning style demonizing Cruz and Rubio posting lie after lie with virtually zero actual evidence to support their vile smears...

This place became like kindergarten class with no teacher ...

I understand political opposition to a candidate, but what happened here was so over the top, so in the sewer, so low brow...

I thought we as Freepers were better people...

Guess not...

Two things I learned:
some conservatives here also believe in the Marxist axiom: "The end justifies the means" and how easily people project the persona of their candidate...

Which is sad...

I try to maintain the policy you suggest, always, as a general matter. Posts that aim to incite are just noise in an already too noisy forum.

Then we become like those we detest - trying to shut down anyone who disagrees. The difference between us and them is that we can back up our arguments with facts/reality/the Constitution of the United States/the Will of the People.

Whenever one of them does as you pointed out, they show who the die-hard Cruz folks are and we get to rebut them.

It's easy to have a lapse and deem something that is un-Constitutional is right because it seems to make sense in the heat of the moment - remember, there is no "Noble Cause" clause in the Constitution....
