I've had a great deal of respect for Dr. So well for many years. I still do.
On the subject of Donald Trump, IMO, he is mistaken.

Just being conservative does not get the job done! Certain posters should be required to write that on the chalkboard 100 times.

I would say Trump is much more like Reagan.

Thank you DO for taking on all the vapid lies in that screed.
I’m laughing at the reality that the rapid cruzettes failed at persuading anyone here to jump to their side. To me, that is very telling. Kinda follows what their little fraud boy has struggled with the entire campaign.

Who left the doors open to the roach motel and let the Cruzers back onto FR? What happened? Highly disappointing.

I've read comments on some other forums and realized by the comparison how stupid and uninformed FR Cruzers are. Don't get me wrong, Freepers are the most informed and smartest around. Except for the resettlement of the Cruzers here. I've never seen such a bunch of non-informed people. They are like those "man-on-the-street" interviews. They know nothing but have a firm opinion, though they don't have a clue about the facts underlying it. They really have demeaned and diminished FR. After months they assert things that were fully disproven or debunked months ago and make no effort to double-check the facts on things they assert. It may be a temporary negative to blacklist their IP addresses from FR forever, but the status of FR would rise exponentially. I hate to think of smart, normal people reading a Cruzer-dominated thread of people with sub-room-temp IQs and teen-age insults normal people outgrew at age 14.
They live in environments where people with knowledge or who read or people who attempt to inform themselves are bullied or harassed, don't fit in, like these people seeking knowledge are selling out to the man or some crap. They proudly reveal their total ignorance of facts and treat people who READ and SELF-INFORM as uncool, sell-outs, and all they do then is BULLY these people whose opinions are INFORMED. You wonder, have these people ever even read a BOOK? Could they?

Senator Ted Cruz has a track record that leaves no doubt as to his adherence to conservative principles. And he is as thoroughly versed in the issues facing this country as anyone who has run for President since Ronald Reagan. It seems Tommy Sowell needs some discernment...Ted Cruz is not a conservative and does not adhere to 'conservative' principles. Ted Cruz is joined at the hip with the Bushes. He is no more conservative than they are. His wife is ambitious and owned by Goldman Sachs. She is CFR. She is new world order...think 1,000 points of light (GHWB).
Ted Cruz will never be a Ronald Reagan. Trump is much more like Reagan. And in many ways.

The people who I loathe the most are calling Trump the thing I hate being called the most, “RACIST”. Part of me wants to stay home per the advice of a wise Christian but the other part of me never stays home.

What is making Trump successful is not ONLY the many failures of the GOP to deliver on its promises, but the fact that they hated Cruz so much they wanted to defeat him at all costs- but now that Trump is in the lead they are willing to CAVE AGAIN and support Cruz!
They hated Cruz!
Now the spineless and gutless GOP are going to support him?
I am voting for Trump for two main reasons- 1) he is a successful business man and 2) the GOP ELITE HATE HIM
