It could have been worse. The swelling is causing the side of her head to bulge out and a tumor was a possible cause.

Sorry for not using the word of the day, I have absolutely no idea what it means. I just have dogs on my mind. ; )

It is Midget girl’s day to decide she likes another food that cats probably shouldn’t like. Along with the other two, she started begging politely when I sat down at the desk with my lunch-cubes of tofu and leftover grilled chicken with spinach, baby greens and vinaigrette dressing.

I gave all 3 cats bits of chicken on a paper towel, which they gobbled up-when Titus and Yeti boy saw there was no more chicken in the salad, they sat down to wash their faces, but Midget was still interested in what was there, doing that little whine of hers and staring. I put a bit of tofu on the paper towel, figuring she’d turn up her nose, but she sniffed at it, ate it and begged for more, so I gave her a few bits, which she obviously enjoyed.

Titus and Yeti practically run from tofu or any other vegetable item-Midget likes other weird stuff-sunflower kernels, black olives, green peas. All 3 like Greek yogurt, both flavored and plain. I don’t tell my vet they eat these things-she’d probably faint...

Mike Pence’s sophrosyne endorsement of Ted Cruz this morning was ridiculed by the babbling heads on Outnumbered. If they had ever paid attention to Mike Pence (Gov. of Indiana) before, they’d know that sophrosyne should be his middle name. He’s very popular in his own state and has been rumored to be Presidential material himself. Of course, those New Yorkers cannot see beyond the ends of their own noses. His endorsement means as much as Gov. Walker’s did in WI.

saw your thread on Andrea Tantaros what do you think is up there? i know it says contract wrinkles, but could it be more? she’s a huge Trumpbot but so are the rest of them on Fox, so that’s not the issue. I wasn’t clear if they ever said why she wasn’t on the Five any more and pretty much does Outnumbered. There have been discussions on Outnumbered about women mentors in the work place and women pulling for each other and some being cutthroat etc.

I don’t think she’s a Trumpbot. If she is, she contains it better than the others. I’ve always found her pretty “fair an balanced”.

she is def one, at least as much of one as Eric Bolling. I’d say as far as the Five goes Greg and Dana are the only trump skeptics. i intentionally posted it to this thread to avoid the angry hordes...

My bet is that the “contract issue” involves her making it plain that she would ask for a substantial raise at contract renewal time-that always seems to being out the worst in a network...

So glad it is nothing more serious. Our oldest girl about 5 years ago developed a weeping wound under her left eye. They finally figured out that it was a tooth problem. After the extraction she had no more problems.

Will be thinking good puppy thoughts your way on Monday!

Very true.
I’m taking the dogs to the shelter tomorrow for discount rabies shots. And trying to stay awake for hockey tonight. Wednesday night’s game was fantastic but I paid for it at work the next day. I was running on pure adrenaline and am desperate for a solid 6 hours of sleep.

When I was hiking earlier, a dog came running to me on the trail from out of the woods-looked like a fawn-with a white chest and feet-American Bulldog-a neutered male maybe 8-10 months old and acting lost-a very nice and socialized dog.

He followed me to the back deck and waited there while I got a leash, gave him water and checked his tags-the name of the owner was not familiar, and there was no phone #, so I set off again with the dog, stopping whenever I saw someone near the trail, asking if they knew the dog’s owner. The doggie is very well trained, and walked on-leash nicely for one so young-or maybe he figured it was the only way he was going to see his owners again...

After a few minutes, I saw a guy hurrying up the trail carrying a leash, calling and whistling-the dog’s owner. He’s on vaca, staying at one of the cabins down the road-the dog heard ducks outside, raced out the door and down to the river before he could grab a leash-it is indeed an American Bulldog, 10 months old.

I’m so glad the owner was found-eventually that dog would have been frantic and gotten into a vehicle with someone who intended to keep him for themselves...
