I drove a Gremlin-X for a while in High School. It had been re-painted, but the “X” striping kit was on backorder so it looked like the base model. I had fun with for awhile.
When I was in high school, Daddy had a Rambler V-8. It wasn’t super hot but I did beat every 289 and 283 in school.
I got to thinking I was pretty good then I tried to beat my friend’s Buick Skylark. I think it was something like 304 or something like that. He ate my lunch.
