I'm saying that interpretation of Trump's statement doesn't make sense. He wouldn't have said "down at 711." Scarsdale would be "up" for him.

I have no doubt Scarsdale helped down at "the pile" - so did every firefighter I knew in Westchester – but Scarsdale did not direct the operation, nor would their Scarsdale address have even been known downtown.

Not to take anything from Trump - he definitely was enormously helpful on 9/11 and after. But even his own campaign said this was a misspeak.

How about maybe a Trump property was nearby from which Donald directed assistance “down at 711”?

Donald has property presence in many places in New York City.

Sorry, I see what you mean. I thought he meant down only because he was placing them down in “the pile”.

Quite often Trump is speaking in the present and thinking several steps ahead. “Now this is the story”, is gathering up the thoughts time. LOL
