Wait until Spanish is made the official state language.

When I was a night-stocker at Wal-Mart some years ago, part of my job was to restock the housewares department. Almost all of the appliances (coffee makers, microwaves, etc.) had Spanish on one side of the box and English on the other.

I made it a point that when I saw a box with the Spanish side facing the aisles, I turned it around to the English side. (Still do that to this day as a customer.)

One night the white supervisor asked me why I was rearranging the boxes and I told him a little story that flummoxed him.

I said that one night a Hispanic guy came up to me and asked me if Wal-Mart had all those signs in Spanish because they thought Mexicans were too stupid to learn English.

I told the guy that wasn't the case. Like most American corporations, they would sell their daughters if it improved the bottom line, so it was no problem to sell out their heritage. He laughed, calmed down, and left.

The supervisor didn't laugh, but he did leave without saying a word.

I'm so fed up now that I'M thinking about getting a some mailing labels and using my color printer, make up some with the American flag and the words "This is America, we speak English" and start putting them on those Spanish signs I see in the various stores.

What I find funny is buying a cheap item, find it was made in China, and the instructions are written in some form of pidgin English which even I can’t understand.
