Serious Question for Cruz Supporters (VANITY)
04/14/2016 | Les Dowrey

Posted on 04/14/2016 12:42:16 PM PDT by LesDowrey

If Ted Cruz were to win the GOP Nomination on the 2nd ballot or further down the line, he will have won the GOP nomination based on STOPPING Trump, not SUPPORTING Ted. That's not really a great way to win is it? Also, if he couldn't beat Trump at the ballot box, how will he beat Hillary?

A win is a win and a primary isn’t a general election.

A question back to you: If Trump fails to make it to 1237, why should he be awarded the nomination?

I have a question for Trump and Cruz supporters, If there continues to be ridiculous, petty and hateful attacks on the candidates and their supporters(not talking about your post LesDowery) how can we expect full support be given to the nominee so that the demonrats are defeated?

I am all for valid information that gives a person what is needed to make an informed decision, but the attacks are enough to make want to just walk away from the whole mess.

I think stopping Trump would be a tremendous win for the country.

I will support our GOP nominee whoever he is to the hilt against the godless American-hating Marxist democrat. Will be happier than a lark if either of our two fine anti-establishment candidates gets the nod. You?

If Trump is unable to ever secure a majority of the delegates to the Convention, how can he be a winner?

Kind of simple really, by the use of force, instead of President Trump at the ballot it will be General Trump the leader of the Second Revolution, but this time the North and the South will be united.

Now a follow up question for cruzites, followers of Lyin' Cheatin' Rafael, teddie, Cruz. Are you willing to fight, kill and if needs be die for your guy?

We are!

He’ll get no support from anyone else. Hillary will win a 49-50 state landslide.

And yet it is Trump that the polls show Hillary beating in solidly red states like Utah, Mississippi, etc...

“A prominent aide to George W. Bush’s 2000 campaign could barely contain himself when we asked him to discuss Cruz, who worked in the Bush campaign’s policy shop.

This person described Cruz as hyper-arrogant and widely despised, and he emphasized—over and over—that the pervasive dislike of Cruz within the Bush ranks had nothing to do with ideology.

(Cruz, he noted, never objected to Bush’s call for compassionate conservatism, immigration reform, and national education standards, and no one on the campaign regarded him as an ideologue.)

The problem was simple: Cruz’s personality.

“Ted thought he was an expert on everything,” says this campaign veteran, who asked not to be named. “He was a smart and talented guy, but completely taken with himself and his own ideas. He would offer up opinions on everything, even matters outside his portfolio. He was a policy guy, but he would push his ideas on campaign strategy. He would send memos on everything to everyone. He would come to meetings where he wasn’t invited—and wasn’t wanted.”

In fact, this Bush alum recalls, “the quickest way for a meeting to end would be for Ted to come in. People would want out of that meeting. People wouldn’t go to a meeting if they knew he would be there. It was his inability to be part of the team. That’s exactly what he was: a big a$$hole.”

“I don’t know anyone who had a decent relationship with Cruz.” And when Bush became president, his top campaign aides agreed Cruz should not be offered a job in the White House.

“No one wanted to work with him,” this source remembers. “George W. Bush couldn’t stand the guy.”

This person adds, “It’s a real quandary for Bush campaign people: Trump versus Cruz, who to vote for? And it would be a big quandary even if it’s Cruz versus Hillary Clinton. That’s how much they cannot stand him.”

If we can have an honest vote and an honest count in Maine it will be Trump by a landslide, if it comes to cruz v Bernie, Bernie will win by a landslide. Cruz is hated by all but a very, very small few.

Cruz did not win the caucus, he stole it.

Whatever it takes to win.

Besides, people who don’t vote for Ted Cruz hate Jesus and America.

My question for Cruz supporters is, once he takes down the Donald, how will they react when the establishment comes after him? The establishment doesn’t like him any more than they do Trump, and they are using him for the moment, fine and dandy. I find it hard to believe that they will get behind Cruz. I really don’t see it happening.

" The difference between Trump and Cruz is about 8% of the GOP or about 4% of the total voters.  "

Yet, he wins.

Ever hear of independent and crossover voters? They are also part of "the total voters."

Trumpeters: Donald Trump is the front-runner and can secure a win on the first ballot by doing well in the remaining contests (and possibly also by appealing to some of the unbound delegates). He’s had a bad couple weeks, and his lead has narrowed somewhat, but the next few contests are in the northeast where he has the advantage. Then, the contests shift to the west coast. Everybody gets a turn and the Fat Lady hasn’t sung yet. Let me tell you Trumpeters something about power. Nobody gives you power. Real power is something you take.

A few points-

-There has never been an outsider with no political experience get this far in a primary before...ever. He has done it all against the system, by the power of the people.

-There has never ever been a front runner who had his entire party turn on him. Can you imagine if the Republican establishment rallied around him like they did McCain and Romney? If so, he would already have won the nomination and his unfavorable ratings and general election numbers wouldn’t look so bad.

-There were 17 Candidates going into this which split the vote for much of the early primary season.

-Finally, after all this, Trump still thumped Cruz in the states that were built for him (The South) among the voters that were right in his wheel house (Evangelicals).

Hope that answers your question.

Answer. He cannot.

Stop focusing on the GOP candidates and focus on whether you want Hillary to be president for the next four years.

I don’t. I cannot survive four more years of communism/marxism/socialism that Obama has choked us with.

One reason I would still support Cruz (as it sits today) are these polls. These polls show Cruz having a better chance of winning.

Ill vote for Cruz or Trump, I want to beat Hillary.

(General Election: Trump vs. Clinton) Cinton +10.4

(General Election: Cruz vs. Clinton)Clinton +2.8

But he’s not stopping Trump at the ballot box! He’s using an archaic system that won’t exist in the General. If you can’t win with the voters, you can’t win period.
