I quit updating my Win10 machine after I had to do a restore to re-establish wi-fi connectivity. I still update my Win7 machine that I’m not converting to Win10 for the same reason. Maybe by the time I get a new machine, they’ll have some of the Win10 bugs worked out.
Win10 comes with some nice spyware embedded, but the updates were a mess.
I’m in the Slow Ring for Win 10 updates.
I have 2 PC’s with Win 10 and i have had minimal problems with all the updates. One problem i had was with my Radion Video Card not being recognized after an update, but that was it.
I’ve had a weird issue where my Lenovo laptop no longer lets me access USB drives, either “thumb” or merely external. They show up in device manager but don’t work. Just started out of the blue a couple of weeks ago and it’s driving me crazy.
Not that it’s a long drive!
Cheers,
Jim
I'd like to update to Win10 however two machines that I built in the last year don't have all the Win10 drivers available for them yet.
One's an ASUS 990FX R 2.0 board, the other is an ASRock H97A/mITX board in a small form factor PC I built.
Tried updating the ASRock board but lost Gig-E connectivity with the NIC. Windows 10 drivers wouldn't let the NIC run beyond 100mb which is NOT acceptable for me.
Thankfully I clone my drives before any OS upgrades so no need to "roll back" ... just change the boot order and reformat the Win10 drive.
