She actually said to him in an indignant tone: “That’s not funny!” My friend said that he couldn’t stop laughing, and she couldn’t figure out why.

Their is a brand called Seattle's Best, not Starbucks which you might be referring to.
John Pinnette is a comedian (RIP) that does lots of comedy about waiting in lines. One goes something like:
“So I love Starbucks - but God - those lines! And this is before I have any coffee!!!! So what I do now is stop at the 7-11 first so I'll have a coffee while I'm waiting in line...... People look at me.”
.
.
.
“Oh man - I should have thought of that!”

Star Bucks is NOT coffee, it is a commie conspiracy. I have had two cups of that horrible stuff in my life, and felt that I should vote rat after drinking it.

Coffee and cigarettes are my breakfast of choice. Mate tea is a passable, barely, emergency backup.

Unless it’s loaded with all those Dairy Queen additives, Starbucks tastes like burned s***.
Not my experience but my coworkers; they tried StB as their predawn jolt - once. Then they scurried back to Mickey D’s & Dunkin Donuts for their morning joe.
Me, I have a working coffeemaker at home.

I drink it all day long ...and when the cup gets cold...I put crushed ice in it and make iced coffee.
Good til the last drop. :p
Then, there are always chocolate covered coffee beans...to tide you over...

When I was in Vietnam a cup of coffee, a cigarette, & a Hersey bar made for a real helicopter pilot’s complete breakfast.

This little device, the Aeropress, makes the best coffee in the world, fast and cheap:
Try it, you won't be sorry.

That’s what I’m missing, the sweet component. I’m thinking bread pudding the density of Au, rich with eggs, butter and fruit freshly picked.
Lord, send me a thrifty, mute woman who bakes; incomparable, otherworldly jewel, and I will take the world by storm.
