Lionsgate and the A+E network say they won’t film TV shows and movies in North Carolina if the state doesn’t repeal its new LGBT law.

Along with Fox, Miramax and The Weinstein Company, the entertainment producers have voiced opposition to House Bill 2, which replaces local ordinances with a statewide nondiscrimination law that doesn’t include sexual orientation and gender identity as protected categories.

Will they stop broadcasting in Saudi Arabia because of the threat to murder gay people?
Will they stop using their oil?
Will they stop supporting Democrat politicians who receive money from the House of Saud?

“Along with the nfl, the tv/movie industry thinks the universe revolves around them.”

Very true.

Taxpayer funded football stadiums do NOTHING to a local economy. They’re used ~20 times a year in a best case scenario. The jobs they produce are seasonal and any businesses that support these stadiums don’t produce a number of high paying jobs anywhere near the amount of public money blown on them.

Taxbreaks for movie/tv productions in your state do VERY LITTLE for your economy. The only ones that benefit are more than likely to be against the law NC passed ... just let them scream, whine, and moan ... they’ll either stay anyway if production costs are that low or blow a lot of cash moving elsewhere.

If liberals practiced what they preached, they’d simply stay in the high tax paradise of California and make all of their trash there. Frigging hypocrites.

“Eventually it will all be cgi.
who is real who is computer?”

This is going to happen fairly soon. In fact, I’d give it ten years.

Why in the hell would you want to pay someone millions and millions of dollars when you can render the exact look you need for a fraction of that :-).

I’m sure voice actors are getting all fired up for the transition though speech synthesizers might do them in too :-).

Contact the Governor to THANK HIM for signing the bill to protect Women and Children in NC

Thank you, Gov. McCrory for standing up for the safety and protection of women and children in your state!

I understand you are under a lot of pressure to backpedal on that decision, but please don’t. Stand strong for the values that have made this country great.

Any state that honors basic safety and privacy rights for its own residents and tourists is a state I want to visit. Thank you!

Barack Obama on the constitution.;
FRC PRAISES CRUZ DE-REG PLANS TAKING GOVERNMENT OUT OF RELIGION
America’s Christian bakers and florists and wedding planners will be safe under a Ted Cruz presidency. “I am absolutely convinced in my discussions with the senator that religious liberty will be a lot better off in America with a Cruz administration,” Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council and Chair of Cruz’s Religious Liberty Advisory Council emphsized when endorsing Cruz. These are the policies that he is going to pursue,” Perkins announced. “He is absolutely committed to the issue of religious liberty.”
The council was calling on Cruz to direct a review of the IRS’ treatment of religious organizations and to direct federal agencies to respect the free exercise of religion. Cruz said he will Defend and protect small business owners facing assault for refusing to violate their religious beliefs. “ Rescind Executive Order 13672 – an order that requires certain federal contractors to not discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity; - Direct all federal agencies to stop interpreting “sex” to include “sexual orientation” and/or “gender identity.” - Direct the Department of Health and Human Services to eliminate its requirement that all employers include coverage for all FDA-approved contraceptive methods and sterilization procedures;. “As president, I have pledged on my first day in office to rescind every single one of President Obama’s unconstitutional executive actions, and to direct every federal agency to respect and protect the religious liberty of every American,” Cruz said

Someone had the idea of a lawsuit against these companies for refusing to do business with NC for religious reasons. It is essentially refusing to bake a cake, and should face the same consequences, eh?
