That group may be from Lebanon and have patriarch live in Garland. I think the guy went by Mitchell Miller and had a son ho went by the name of Bobby Mitchell. May still have a file on him somewhere. If its the same group.
And most of them live in Murphy Village SC and have either Murphy or Riley as a last name. They spread out from there all over the country to do scam jobs like repaving driveways and roofing jobs.
They’ve been around forever.

Howling dogs are supposed to be bad from a Roma point of view (so no doubt there is something to be had on YouTube). A dead crow in the street is supposed to be so bad from the point of view of Roma superstition that they will turn around and leave. That was the result of a Google search after remembering an old lady once telling me that there were superstitions which could be used to make them buzz off.

Seems like dead crows, BIG dogs, and the old evil eye (while throwing the horns) scare them the most. Also vampires but I don’t know how to get a vampire.
Looking this stuff up (because my house will clean itself) I think my Italian ancestors must be part gypsy - so many things Grandma did are exactly as describes in gypsy culture.

I was in Rome, near the Colosseum, and some gypsy kids swarmed a Japanese tourist to steal his camera. The group of Japanese tourists he was with were all busy taking pictures of the incident. Those kids, the oldest was probably eight, were vicious.
