I'm unfamiliar with Shapiro's earlier insults against the Name of Trump. Maybe he's a stopped clock today--who cares? He has made a critically important observation about current conditions on the battlefield of culture. Let's learn from it.

I guess you've never seen my analogy about Trump and the media.
The left-wing media is what I call the Media DeathStar (from the original Star Wars trilogy).
Trump is the only one who has been able to withstand the blast from the Media DeathStar's main armament.
They're flummoxed - because all before him have been blasted to burnt atoms. If you'd like, I can go down the list of mostly Republicans who've been destroyed by the Media DeathStar. :)
All no doubt true, why not. But it's irrelevant. For conservatives to pick fights with other conservatives is dangerous for the cause this time of year. This campaign should have been a gentlemanly competition to pick the most potent standard-bearer, like Jim Buckley vs. Pat Moynihan for US Senate back in the day. Instead of a pie fight.
The street-wise approach is also the Christian one: "Don't start nothin', won't be nothin'." Except you have to not respond for a while until the other guy gets the idea. I don't know if this Shapiro is much of a conservative. But if he's a RINO, why fight him when he happens to be right? We really will need to close ranks. Gotta happen soon, or we'll be worse off than we have been under Presidente Zero.
