Trump: Cruz doesn’t ‘even know what state he comes
GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump on Tuesday mocked Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) for mistakenly calling Florida his home state.
“His home state is not Florida, it is Texas,” he told host Anderson Cooper during a CNN townhall in Milwaukee.
“It might be Canada,” Trump quipped, mocking Cruz’s birthplace. “[But] he didn’t even know what state he comes from. Fort Hood is from Texas by the way. I am so surprised, Anderson, that you let him get away with it.”
Cruz accidentally called Florida as his home state while discussing a 2009 mass shooting at Fort Hood, Texas.
“My home state of Florida — Fort Hood …” Cruz said when discussing the military base located in Killeen, Texas.

Without a /SARC you force us to point out that Cruz confused Florida and Texas, and that is what anchored Trump's comment. "It might be Canada" was an added quip which could have just as easily been "Mars" or "Uranus". :-)
What I want to know is if he moved to Texas at age 4 and spent 40+ years there, well where the heck is his accent? He has very little inflection, at least to these NY ears, and we can spot y'all as fast as y'all can spot us. It's just weird to me.
I am always suspicious of those that hide or train out their native accents on purpose, which must be the case for him after that long a time. If you're a 4-year-old moving to Brooklyn, by age 10 or less you will sound like Vinnie Barbarino. It must be something about Ivy League schools and how they view conservatives forcing us to go underground? Well I wouldn't play their game and that's why I get suspicious.

This election year cycle has been filled with idiots.. on both sides. I’ve had it for the most part and I’ll just see where it ennds up in November.
