I agree, and I think the GOPe is actually trying to contain this so they can use it later, only the National Enquirer jumped the gun.

I ‘ve seen several reports that Little Marco’s campaign was behind this expose of Cruz’s affairs, though others claimed to have it and “sat” on it. What does Rubio hope to gain from this at this point? Does he think Cruz’s delegates will jump to him and he gets back in the race?

That point is where people are making it unnecessarily hard on themselves to understand. Cruz was never a constitutional, anti-globalist conservative, but he was extremely, and I do mean extremely, good at pulling off the deception. He understands the conservative talking points inside out and can argue for them at length, off the cuff and without notes. People who are not familiar with the kind of steely eyed ambitioin required to completely deceive people in such a way have a hard time believing it when they see it in others. I too believed Cruz to be the real thing a while back, but an examination of the facts just don’t support that anymore IMO.
Remember, we know that’s what RINO’s do - lie about their conservatism to get elected. Cruz was just better than the others at it. Look at his actual accomplishments in the Senate and you’ll see that he took a stand for conservatism only when it didn’t matter. As we see this story unfold in the next few days, remember that Cruz’s conservatism was never any more genuine than his appearance as a devoted family man.
GOPe will run from Ted Cruz faster than you can I never endorsed Ted.

Cruz’s affairs aren’t about politics in the usual sense. It’s about a man who has used God and his family for votes. He’s shamed others and he and his buddy Glenn Beck told Christians they’d better think about their faith if they vote Trump.
Though the sex angle is the least important, it exposes him for who he is. That’s important before Ted and Heidi get any further with their North American Community project.
Just like you would be if you were the victim of an unscrupulous asswipe going around lying about you.
As a Trump supporter I will say that unless the video shows Cruz and a female NOT his wife entering a hotel room by themselves, this is a nothing sandwich.
Hotels have conference rooms, hotels have restaurants, hotels have coffee shops, there are any number of places ASIDE from a hotel room that Cruz and *anyone* might go for legitimate reasons.
Keep telling yourself that Scooby Doo. Maybe someday your dreams will come true, or not. Probably not but it appears you need something to hold on to. Buy a Teddy Bear, you know you want to.
We've long known the end goal of the GOP-e: Stop Trump by pushing Cruz, their last tool.
We just didn't know how they would eliminate Cruz.
Now we know the "How"...
